Golden Globes 2013 Highlights (But not that high. They cheaped out on the liquor this year.)

Katherine McPhee: Mama looks good. She is definitely showing off her sex appeal. I think if anyone else wore this, it would seem trashy, but somehow it’s working for her.

Claire Danes: very simple, and very Danes, kind of boring, but girl looks good considering she just popped out a baby.

Jennifer Lawrence: LOVE that color on her, and somehow the retro pointy boobs are off-putting and entrancing at the same time.

Olivia Munn: I love you. I want to be you.

Jessica Chastain: I, too, am a very fair-skinned woman. And I learned long ago that you have to be VERY careful with pastels. If the silhouette of this dress wasn’t so frumpy, she probably could have pulled it off, but it’s all kinds of wrong. And her hair, her beautiful red hair, looks greasy. This is upsetting.

Lucy Liu: I love love love that print. But the dress is poofy, and has a sweetheart neckline, and it’s all way too much.

Kerry Washington: No one else could wear this, and she looks amazing.

I am pleasantly surprised Girls And Lena Dunham won…shocked actually. I hated the show at first, then watched again a few months later, and I now I love it. It gets a ton of shit online, seems people either get it or don’t…..oh well, Im glad it won!

My favorite looks of the night were Jennifer Lawrence, followed by Halle and JLo. they were gorgeous. Jon Hamm was omg!

It as a good show overall. Tina and Amy are top notch and should host everything! The fashion was neither here nor there for me ..all kinda “meh”. I am so glad someone else has a major fangirl crush on Bill Clinton…what IS IT about him that is so sexy !
I have never seen Girls…think I need to catch up on that one.
Glad affleck got his props !

Other folks were confused by Fister’s speech, too, especially because she hinted that she was retiring. But I am amazed that people are “surprised” that she came out – haven’t we known this for 10+ years? http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/envelope/moviesnow/la-et-mn-golden-globes-2013-jodie-foster-speech-reaction-moves-and-mystifies-20130113,0,7021029.story

Lucy Liu’s dress looked like something Carrie Bradshaw would wear as a wedding dress.

I can’t believe Claire Danes had a baby 3 weeks ago! I hate her.

Other actors/actresses keep talking about how Megan Fox is actually really funny, yet she NEVER is. I wish she would go away.

I was kind of sad Tina Fey didn’t win her category. This is the last season of 30 Rock and it’s effing hilarious!

Loved Jodie Foster’s acceptance speech, it was funny but not corny, it was touching but not weepy and it was a little preachy but not heavy-handed! Good for her. And she does look A-MAH-ZING for 50. But then again Sally Field is 64!!!

I guess I am dense, because I had no idea Jodie Foster was a lesbian. Oh well. Know I know.

I actually am the opposite of you when it comes to Anne Hathaway. I hated her at first. I thought she was too ugly to be in Princess Diaries and just was not a fan. Now I have come to love her dearly. She won me over. I am rooting for her and Jennifer Lawrence to pull the Oscars. I would love to see two young vibrant actresses win at the same time. Plus I love both of them so much! My husband might riot if Anne does not win. He NEVER cries EVER. Yet Anne had him in tears when we saw Les Mis. So for that right there I guess she deserves it. All I have to do is start singing that song and he runs out of the room lest he start crying over her performance again.

I was so glad that Adele won. It let us see how much of a bitch Taylor Swift really is. I mean did you see those daggers she was shooting Adele when she lost? Like bitch you’re going up against Adele who seriously can’t lose any award shes nominated for. Get over it and look fake happy like Keith Urban and Jon Bon Jovi did.

I just recently discovered Girls (aka just got HBO) and am hooked. It is so awkwardly accurate and makes me remember that I don’t miss being 24 at all. So I was thrilled to see them win and they seemed so genuinely surprised. Plus the Chad Lowe comment cracked me up.

Tina and Amy were fantastic. I expected them to be, but you never really know. In addition to Amy’s comment about \Hillary Clinton’s husband\ I also loved that Tina called him Bill Rodham Clinton.

Also, Michael J Fox’s son looks just like him!

I took Jodie Foster’s comment about not being on that stage or any stage again as her way of saying that she humbly doesn’t expect to win any other awards in the future. But she did have a rambly way of expressing herself overall. Also, what is the deal with her mother? I couldn’t tell for sure, but got the impression that the lady is dying or in the throes of dementia–either way, very sad.

Taylor Swift was giving Adele a major bitch face when she lost, like she’d expected to win. However, if Taylor Swift had won, she would have acted like she never saw it coming and can’t even believe it and OMG this is so unexpected and I just don’t even know what to think and I can’t close my mouth.

Kristen Bell, bless her heart, should have called Rosie Pope. That monstrosity of a maternity dress she wore was horrible. It made her look like pregnant linebacker.

Jessica Alba and Miranda Kerr looked best. Other than that a pretty disappointing fashion turnout.

Two fashion things I should have included: Jennifer Garner looked INCREDIBLE and Lena Dunham looked a mess, like she was a rogue bridesmaid or something. Lena really needs a stylist who gets her personality, because she always looks terrible on the red carpet, as though she’s trying to dress like someone she’s not. And as for Kristen Bell’s dress, I dunno, she did better than Claire Danes did at the Emmys with that yellow sack dress. I’ve never been pregnant, but it must be tough to do black tie maternity.
As for all of you talking about Taylor Swift’s bitchy face – I missed that! I totally missed it. And it would have cracked me up. Arrgh.

Kristin Wiig and Will Ferrell killed it. Its what the Garth and Kat skit on SNL should have always been- if Garth had been played by someone with actual talent like Will Ferrell, instead of someone painfully unfunny like Fred Armisen. I just do not understand his appeal.

Plus, Wiig got to use the same surprised face that she used when she played Taylor Swift on SNL. I thought thats where the bit was headed, at first.

Taylor Swift gave the same bitch face when she didn’t win a particular award at the Grammy’s. She is an ungrateful brat. I am tired of seeing her and hearing about her.

Tina and Amy KILLED it! They both looked gorgeous, too.

Taylor Swift is such a fake fakey fake fake. I’m so glad she got caught on camera being her real sneaky snake self. Yay Adele!

Kristen Wiig and Will Ferrell-hilarious! I seriously could’ve watched them do that (almost) all night. Kristen’s Taylor Swift impression when she walked on stage was awesome, too.

I loved Jodie Foster’s speech. It rambled a bit, but I loved how she addressed her personal life and the part about her mother made me cry. So sad. :(

I don’t usually make it all the way through awards shows, but I have to say, it was pretty entertaining. It needed more Amy and Tina, though. They seriously should host everything from now on, forever.

The Golden Globes are so much better than the Oscars. There, I said it and I know a lot of people don’t agree. They are just more fun and not as stuffy. You still get all the big names and the glitz but with tons more laughs.

The pure shock on Ben’s face when he won both times was great. It honestly looked like he did not think he was going to win.

Did anyone catch Rosario Dawson’s dress? She looked like she had someone else’s dress on. The fit was horrible!!!

I know I’m late to the party here, but I’m friends with Ed Harris’ mom. The reason he wasn’t there is b/c his baby brother was getting chemo, so he’s staying with him throughout the procedure.
