Red Carpets: Rivers out, Rinna in

rivers.jpg rinna.jpgThe TV Guide Channel has kicked Joan Rivers off the Red Carpet and is replacing her with Lisa Rinna.

Rivers and daughter Melissa moved to TV Guide from E! Entertainment in 2005.

Actress and nude model Rinna, who, like husband Harry Hamlin did duty on Dancing with The Stars, and whose plastic surgery results are not yet as extreme as Rivers’, will make her Red Carpet hosting debut at the Emmy Awards on September 16th.

What do you bet the coverage will be less bitchy? And less entertaining…She’ll also host five Red Carpet pre-shows per year for TV Guide Channel, as well as five fashion recap shows connected to those events. But we bet they won’t be as much fun as Joan.

    I just loathe Lisa Rinna. Anyone else? Anyone?

    She was great on Melrose Place, but all her TV hosting sucks. Her phoney persona, fake boobs, lips and tan scare and sicken me.
