In Space, No One Can Hear You Scream

So I guess I should have expected a little bit of a let down during this last episode of Battlestar Galactica. After so much excitement during the escape from New Caprica, anything that follows is bound to be a little less exciting. The occupation on New Caprica was polarizing in a number of ways, and many lives were lost. I thought we would have a few episodes where people are learning to re-adjust back to their lives the fleet and without Cylon occupation, but after only three days, people are back to their normal routines of eating, drinking, working, sleeping and executing collaborators. Call me naive, but I thought that the executing friends of the enemy episode would be coming down the pipe a little later. Doesn’t it make sense to spend a little time mourning the loss, etc. My other big problem is how these collaborators were allowed to leave the planet anyway.
