Miss USA tumbles at Miss Universe pageant

Beauty Pageants

Here’s something you don’t see very often or often enough: Miss USA tripped, clipped and fell flat on her sequined ass last night during The Miss Universe Pageant. Rachel Renee Smith fell off her high heels during the evening gown phase. She made a quick recovery from the internationally-televised humilation and the judges showed mercy.

But then came the question and answer segment– and things only got worse for the klutz from Tennessee!

See what happened… after the jump…

The audience in Mexico City booed and heckled the American beauty.

But were they booing her or the United States in general?

She soldiered on… and finished as fourth runner-up.

Miss Japan, 20-year-old Riyo Mori, took the Miss Universe Crown.

Wonderfully symbolic of where we currently are at as a nation . . . falling on our ass as the world boos us.

I thought it was very tacky for the audience to boo that girl.
Should she have been in the top 5? Probably not after her ass meats floor episode….
But to boo her is just so freaking rude and immature.

I do not think the booing had anything to do with the United States, they were only upset about Mexico not getting in the top 5! I am proud of Miss USA (just like I am of the United States), she did a terrific job in that situation. She acted like a classy lady and it was very rude of the crowd and that showed no class at all.

I was only half watching this until she fell, and I must admit she composed herself beautifully. I really thought her answer to the question was cool, especially when I would have said, “Relive another moment? How about half and hour ago and NOT fall on my ass?”

It’s USA in general… exactly the same thing happened at Miss Universe 1993 (also held in Mexico City)… Kenya Moore (Miss USA 1993) received the same bad treatment as Rachel did… booing and jeering. Sadly the papers have ignored this and chosen to play the politics angle.

They are booing because we don’t want to give their freeloading cousins a free ride here in the USA with blanket amnesty. Their disgusting treatment of Miss USA should only solidify any citizen with a vote of NO AMENISTY! Come through the front door like a legal person does, not sneaking through the back door like the common criminals they are!
