Minicap: Bethenny Ever After

Bethenny Ever After

Hmmm… I think Bethenny might be getting a little boring.  This episode certainly didn’t do her any favors.  She basically spends a lot of time with her girlfriends in New York and Montauk.  Crazy hijinks ensue involving a paddle boat fail and Bethenny’s inability to open one of Brynn’s (SO. CUTE.) toys.  It’s funny, it’s sweet, but I’m more invested in her Yeti-like food blogger getting his eyebrows threaded.  Which happens.  After the Girl’s Weekend in Montauk, Bethenny heads to therapy and cries about her real dad and her stepdad, and almost gets into a fight with Dr. Amador when he tries to push her into admitting that she loved Real Dad just a little bit.  The episode ends with her tearfully interviewing that she doesn’t want Brynn to grow up to be hard and “a survivor” like her.  It’s actually really sweet and touching.  If only the episode could have focused on that the entire time.

BUT the trailer for next week involves couples therapy and Bethenny making a joke about she and Jason not liking each other any more – to Jason.  Trouble in paradise?  God, I hope so.

Tune in Wednesday for the full recap and check back here for last week’s episode!
