I’m a slut. I admit it. I’m a TV manslut. It really doesn’t matter about the length of a show, I don’t care about a show’s lineage, hell, I don’t even have to like the show. If I’m alone, and a TV show comes along, I will watch it. From Survivor to Trauma: Life in The ER, it doesn’t matter. I will watch anything.
So when a show comes along and offers me joy, laughter, and unconditional happiness, I get a little excited. This is the one. This is the show I can grow old with. This show satisfies so completely on all levels, I don’t feel the need to whore myself out to TLC, or worse, VH1. I don’t need a Xanax and beer chasers to jump into bed with any old show that comes along. Big Brother is one of those shows. I remember my first time, it was…..incredible. Initially, I just thought is was a good looking show, but as I learned more about it and really got to know its content, I fell in love. It is this love I wanted to share with the world, and I wish everyone could experience. Even still, and this may just be the scorned pessimist in me, I know it won’t last. In two months time, BB6 will just leave me, all alone, and curled up in the arms of another show. Thankfully, knowing this ahead of time, I already have my rebound set up. A hot little bitch I call The Amazing Race. A ‘no strings’ passionate romance that always get’s me off before I turn it off.
This love affair is one of the many reasons we promoted the hell out of this show. But what I want to know is, did it work? For those who have never seen Big Brother before and were drawn to it for the first time this year, what do you think? Is the romance there? Do you feel the addiction to love?
Comments welcome, and then of course there is the poll in TVgasm’s Big Brother 6 Forums.
If you like it, spread it!:

It worked on me. I have never watched BB any other season even though a few friends would badger me incessantly… I just had too many shows and no room for new shows in my crowded tv schedule of a life. (My theory was to try to get “out” more instead of snuggled up surrounded by my pillow fort watching nonstop reality crap) Then someone brought tvgasm into my life and my life got BETTER. Real World Road Rules America’s Next Top Model Apprentice American Idol THE OC The Surreal Life are all BETTER with tvgasm and so in order to fully enjoy every day of tvgasm I knew I would have to watch BB6.
I’m hooked, my husband is hooked (and he won’t watch ANYTHING) and I hear it’s the best season ever! Lucky me!
Thanks tvgasm for enriching my life.
Love, sharon
This is my first full season of BB. I caught the last half of BB5 and I loved it.
I also LOVE Amazing Race. I started watching that one in season 5 as well and now I’m catching up with all the reruns. Blissssssssssssss!
Did you ever see a show called Paradise Hotel or something? That was pretty good too. They only had one season though, too bad.
I’ve never posted on this board before though I’ve been reading you for months.
I’m going over to the BB section now to vent about Howie. What a moron!
Dear Penthouse:
This is a true story. I never thought it could happen to me. First, there was Survivor, because I have a friend who works on that show. Then Amazing Race, then Big Brother. I didn’t even get to BB until Season 3, because I fetished Survivor and AR a little too much to devote myself to anyone else. But then I found this Blog, TVGasm, and there were other seemingly normal people just like me who have the same keen sexual desire over the BB that I do. I’d come home. We have found each other, and are busy proving no one needs the Kama Sutra, just Janelle and Kaysar three times a week. Thank you TVGasm, you are my Friendship.
BB5 was my first; the DNA promos got me interested and since my partner is a longtime fan, I was hooked quickly. I came late to reality TV; didn’t even watch Survivor until All Stars. Started watching The Amazing Race when I heard a gay couple had a chance of winning; saw the last 4 or 5 episodes when Chip and Reiken won.
Now I’m catching up. Thru the magic of cable TV and a DVR, we’re watching Survivor, Season 1, on the Outdoor Living Network (OLN) and Amazing Race 3 on GSN. We can watch an entire season in about 2 weeks. Glorious for tv mansluts.
THe man who popped my Big Brother cherry was sg-dub himself. After watching a few episodes of the awful first season, I gave up. He was an avowed fan of the great Puppetmaster Dr. Will and got me to start watching it again. The man would literally tell everyone “I am a liar. I will lie to you. Do not trust me”, and they would trust him. It was awesome.
I am waiting for FOX Reality network to get the rights to the international versions of Big Brother. THose versions have had tons of sex, nudity, a few bareknucled brawls, a riot, and Jackie Stallone.
I was a BB virgin until this season. TVgasm was the ONLY reason I tuned in. I already watched most of the shows that are recaped and I figured you wouldn’t hype a show that much unless it was definately worth my 3 hrs per week. By initiating talk about BB at work, other tv whores have come out of the woodwork…people I thought would never have been so dedicated to a show like BB! Thank you TVgasm!! Vote for Kaysar!
The one and only reason I started watching Big Brother was because of TVgasm. I felt left out not knowing what you were talking about with your “Chenbot this,” “Veto that,” so I decided to give it a try. I’m glad you guys pumped it up as much as you did because now I fucking LOVE that show. I have to watch all the latest episodes simply because I want to be able to read the recaps on TVgasm and submit comments. Last night at 2:00 a.m. all I wanted to do was sleep because I had to work the next morning, but I forced myself to watch the latest BB episode on my TiVo because I knew that when I got to work this morning, the first thing I’d want to do is read TVgasm’s recap. And I don’t regret my decision; it was awesome. Now whenever you guys hype the hell out of some show, I feel compelled to give it a shot.
When I tell people that I watch BB6 because of a website called TVgasm, they tell me I have too much time on my hands. Of course I do, that’s the beauty!! I only started watching this year because I am addicted to B-Side’s humor and knew I could get a fix every week with the BB6 recaps. I’ve become pleasantly surprised at how addictive the show is and how much I am rooting for Kaysar! Please, please let him come back!
it worked on me…I started watching because you all seemed so into it and now I am hooked.
I also started watching BB this time around because of the hype here. I never got into it before and had never watched more than a few minutes. The recaps were so funny that I started watching BB6 just to better follow them, and now I am hooked. BB6 is no TAR or Survivor, but it has its place as a summer reality show with its own addictive points.
OK, so maybe I am not technically a BB virgin. I saw the very first ep. in BB1 I hated it, except for the Chenbot’s ridiculosity.
Loving TVGasm as I do, and having had such an awesome experience trying Veronica Mars due to similar campaigning by TWOP, I gave BB6 a try.
I don’t love BB, but I do love anticipating the recaps and comments. And as much as I loathe Crappy, it would be better TV if he returned than if K did. The wait for the recap would be simply delicious and exquisite.
i was really into bb1…george, the planes, chenbot at her best (worst). and i haven’t watched until this year…thanks to the ‘gasm. it has made my days brighter and my nights that much funnier! Thank you so much!!!
BB2 was the first reality show I ever watched, and I pretty much watched it from day 1. I hated reality shows up until then, but was instantly hooked by Dr. Will and watching all the hamsters stab each other in the back. I went from hating everything Reality TV to becoming a BB2 junkie, visiting forums like Jokers and even getting the live feeds. BB2, IMO was unbeatable, though I did enjoy BB3 for the most part.
BB4 was such a painful experience…this was when I stopped the obsession as I saw the show slowly jumping the shark with the horrible X-Factor. I think this season turned a ton of die hard viewers off as BB5, though an improvement on the snoozefest prior, still started sucking towards the end. Overall, I pretty much wrote off BB completely until I found TVGasm earlier this year by finding it on google after an obsessive search for anything Spring Break Shark Attack (I saw a hilarious clip on The Late Late Show and googled it for the next few days…tvgasm did a play by play on it and I was instantly hooked on this blog). From hearing the buildup of BB on here, I decided to give it another try…I am so glad I did.
The recaps on here are freaking hilarious and help get through my workday all the better. This site seriously drives the enjoyment factor of these shows 100% and I’m sure the networks owe all of you a debt of gratitude for the increase in ratings.
Keep up the passive aggression, and I will continue to bring more sheep into the herd known as the ‘gasm.
