Greetings Gasmii! This week had a bunch of “it’s about time!” moments, didn’t it? Things took an interesting turn and all I can say is thank you God I never have to talk about 110% again!
So let’s jump right into our 8th week of Trump torture and pull some more teeth, shall we?
Things start back up inside the Unanimous War room, where Arsenio is calming down from his Aubrey rant. As he deescalates, Lisa and Penn return to wait with them to see who has been eliminated.
Lisa queries as to where Aubrey is, then whispers to Teresa to be careful. She warns the men are “little bitches” who can’t handle a female who is smarter than them (she means Aubrey, not Teresa).
Uh-oh. Arsenio is telling Penn about why the win meant so much to him and he’s going over the whole death of his cousin again. This reminds him of how hard he had to fight for the win and struggle against Aubrey’s attempts to seem like the team leader. Which in turn, gets him all riled up again.
Suddenly he’s like one of those drunks who shouts at a park bench full of imaginary foes.
F*&% that whore!
That’s enough to get Lisa’s angry eyes bulging. She tells Arsenio he better be glad she’s not on his team because if anyone called her a bitch or a whore they’d have a lot more problems doing it.
I’m the only one who can call people a whore or a bitch around here!
She was a *%&$ing bitch to me, Lisa!
Now every f*&%ing bitch and whore in America is going to f&*%ing hate you!
We interrupt this regularly scheduled bleep fest to send a shout out to the wardrobe department:
Can we get a smoothing bra on set – STAT???
Suddenly Dayana returns from the board room looking AH-MAZE-ING in the following dress:
This be my resilient Venezuelan beauty.
There is a dramatic pause while everyone waits to see who else returns and the shocked silence at Lou emerging from the hall is best described by Penn.

Lisa loses it. She tells Lou she doesn’t care how bad he feels, he was not an effective leader and it was f-ed up that Dee got sent home. She tells Dayana she had no ideas and declares them both f*&%ing useless. Lisa mutters to herself that she has two *bleeped out* brain deads on her team. Great. She’s stood up and sat down twice already since arriving, so I guess her workout for the day is done as she stands up one last time and instructs Penn to get a lot of sleep, since he’ll be doing 50% of the team’s work with her.
Everyone is traumatized by the negativity.
Lou does his usual face twitches and then tells us that he will not stand for Lisa calling him a f*&%^ing loser. Actually, she didn’t call him that. She called him f*&%ing useless. I wonder if that is better?
The next day, Arsenio skypes Magic Johnson to tell him about the money he won for the Magic Johnson Foundation. Arsenio tells Magic about his cousin’s death and says if she had had an opportunity to be tested in Cleveland, maybe she’d still be alive today. Magic feels Arsenio’s pain.
This is a man with a deep soul. And a baseball team.
And a few restaurants, not to mention some gyms,
movie theaters and Starbucks franchises.
After announcing he was HIV+ in 1991 and not only remaining AIDS free for the last 21 years, but managing to create an economic empire, the man truly has proven his magic on and off the court. How does he do it?
My theory: a little marijuana a day keeps the immunity suppression away.
It would appear Arsenio and Magic are tight, as Arsenio refers to him as Earvin, rather than the name he is more famous for. Magic appears to be very appreciative. Arsenio tells us the foundation is starting a new program to bring free discreet mobile testing to inner city areas where people might not be able to afford to be tested. He’s happy to be able to contribute.
And Magic is happy to accept.
How can you not love that smile?
I’m all mushy and giggly with both of these boys radiating their gorgeous smiles that can’t help but brighten your day. Plus they’re playing manipulative music to be sure I’m feeling the love right now. It seems to be affecting Arsenio too, because now he’s saying maybe he didn’t handle things that well with Aubrey, but he’s going to put it all behind him and focus on his charity.
The teams assemble and guess who is still in the game.

Aubrey has decided to spin the whole episode and claim she was being bullied and now she’s going to tough it out and fight for her charity, which is about bullying. She’s a genius, but she’s also nuts. She wasn’t bullied – she was called out on the carpet for true actions that disrupted the balance – it is a very different thing! In fact, I think it’s terrible that she now claims she’s being bullied, when she admitted in the last task that she was not being sensitive to Arsenio’s desire to have a different picture be used. If we go back and re-watch that episode (but why would we ever?), I think it was her doing all the pushing around! She’s a diabolical hypocrite!
This week, the teams have to make a commercial for Entertainment.com to illustrate their new on-line memberships and mobile coupons. Blah blah blah, who cares.
Ivanka is looking particularly lively and fetching.
Dorkus Amongus…. meh.
Dayana immediately tells Sparky she will be the Forte project manager without consulting with her team first. I like that she’s grabbing the bull by the horns, since her team never gives her the time of day. I think this is a smart move, since she lost one of her only two advocates when Dee was sent home.
Unanimous does huddle up and it is decided that Teresa will be their project manager. I’ve got a bad feeling about that one. She tells us she wants to win some money for her charity, since she lost the last task by $14.00. Not really. You lost by $35,014, sweetheart. Anyway, she’s worried because she says Arsenio and Aubrey are like a ticking time bomb and could go off at any moment.
For some reason, Sparks is lowering his reward to twenty thousand dollars, but thankfully, Entertainment.com ups the stakes with an additional forty. Why the arbitrary amounts rewarded by the Donster?
Aubrey and Arsenio decide to hash out their differences. Aubrey says she heard what he said about her and the words hurt her feelings and she’s upset that he would think those things of her. I’ll grant her the words were hurtful, but never in what we see of the conversation does she address her inappropriate behavior which brought them to that point. I think perhaps our little genius just can’t see beyond herself, since it’s all about Aubrey, as her show was so aptly named. Anyway, Arsenio acknowledges that he was angry and he never intended to hurt her. For that he apologizes, which she seems to accept. It irritates me that she tells him she grew up watching his show and loving him. Didn’t she tells us before that she never really watched his show?
In the Forte war room, Penn informs the team that he won’t be around after 4 pm because he has to do a show.
Lisa imagines a world where she is left alone with Lou and Dayana.
She tells us she’s mad because Lou and Dayana don’t have a brain cell between them. This is an alarming turn of events, since she previously stated they had 5 brain cells between them.
Who is leaking do you think?
Dayana proposes an idea to touch the heart; a realistic scenario where a couple uses the coupon for each of the phases of their love life. The team decides to get behind the idea. Surprisingly, Lisa seems quiet and acquiescent.
In Unanimous, the team is throwing around ideas and Aubrey is also surprising me.
Her mouth is shut.
Clay starts talking about his grandfather clipping coupons every Sunday and Arsenio suggests they could get Paul to play that part in their commercial. They ask Paul if he would be willing to dowdy himself up for the commercial and he agrees.
He’s not as cranky as he seems.
And the guy on the show is much more lovable than the guy I’ve seen screaming at his kids on his own show.
The Forte team is now riding in a van and hashing out their plot line.
Does anyone know about this?
So here’s a shocking turn of events. Lisa thinks their idea is adorable. Holy kamoly has hell frozen over? What isn’t surprising is that Lou sits resentfully in the van, because despite the fact that he is now 60 years old, he thinks he could have played the young man wooing the young woman (who he wants to be Dayana) in their commercial.
Delusional much?
Lou tells us the team is full of shit and should be using star power. Dayana asks Lou if he will take care of banners for the presentation. Remember that.
At Unanimous, they are in their shooting space and drafting their script. It sounds pretty racy.
At least they are amusing themselves.
Forte is also working on their script. As Lisa tweaks Penn’s dialogue, she acknowledges she’s an expert at what a desperate woman will say to try to get a date. In testimonial, she tells us that Dayana is less annoying as the project manager because the pretty girl will defer to others area of expertise. Lisa continues that when Dayana isn’t in charge she tries to squeeze in ideas like an annoying kid.
What Lisa doesn’t admit to is that Dayana came up with their present idea, which she likes.
They are ready to start shooting and Dayana definitely seems to be in charge. Penn comes on to tell us that Lisa and Dayana are listening to each other and speaking respectfully and it’s as close to a miracle that an athiest like him has ever seen.
Lou wants them to do some more shots from different angles, but Dayana says they don’t have time for that. Lou is very concerned. Other than Lou’s worries, things seem to be going very well with the Forte shoot.
It’s so nice to see Lisa in a different light for once.
At Unanimous, they are preparing to start shooting. Teresa tells Paul it”s time to go into hair and makeup. She explains to the makeup artist that they want to make him look all fuddy duddy.
You want to un-do all that coolness???
P.S. Why is this girl behind the camera? I think she’s interesting and beautiful!
Ladies and Gentlemen,
It’s Wilford Brimley!
Hosting the BBC’s Playhouse Theatre
Paul’s having a great time.
Well, she’s been laying low and being quiet, but of course, Aubrey can’t contain herself. As Teresa is directing, she giddily turns to Aubrey just after she says action and laughs about the fact that she’s calling the shots. Aubrey reeks of condescension.
Teresa is so naive and cute. She thinks she’s a director because she said action.
She then goes on to refer to Teresa as a muppet baby. Whew! For a minute I thought our diabolical genius had been silenced for good from the last traumatic board room. Nice to see her coming around.
Forte is wrapping up their shooting. It seems like a cute story, although the male they cast is sort of dumpy looking.
Seriously, this is the best man they could find for the part?
Dayana loves it, though.
As they are prepping for the next shot, Dayana tells Penn and Lisa that she’s very happy with what they are doing. Lisa agrees. Dayana tells them they wrote a good script and Penn expresses his appreciation. Lou sits and stews because he didn’t get to act in the commercial. He says he can play a young man perfectly.
Penn has to go and he comes to tell Lou directly. After a few ear wiggles, Lou comes on to tell us it is wrong of Penn to be leaving and not fighting for his charity. Personally I think Penn is to be admired that he’s killing himself here for his charity and still meeting his performance obligations. I haven’t heard him complain once and this has to be at least the second time he’ll be operating on very few hours of sleep.
DJ comes to visit and the group tells him things are going well. He observes Dayana running the show and he acknowledges she may have done a very smart thing by assigning creative to Penn and Lisa early on. If she wins, it’s all great and if she doesn’t she’s got places she can point fingers.
At Unanimous, they are now shooting Aubrey’s scenes (she’s playing Paul’s daughter in the commercial). Clay tells us that the confrontation between Arsenio and Aubrey may have been exactly what they needed, as Aubrey has meshed into the group this week. Thankfully, he’s smart enough to understand that Aubrey is a loose canyon and she can’t be counted on to remain cooperative.
Arsenio appears to have a minor injury, which I find very distracting.
It’s 2012. Do we still need the Flesh Band aid rant? (RIP George Carlin)
Ivanka comes to check on the team and she must have had a really good meal recently. Because she’s lively and not at all animatronic.
She loves Paul’s look and says it was the highlight of her week.
She also secretly suspects he really is a dweeb at home.
She asks the team how things are going between Aubrey and Arsenio. He tells her that he wishes there could have been another way to get to where they are now, but right now things are perfect. And just as he finishes that statement and Teresa starts trying to explain the concept, our little bright eyes can’t stand being left out of the conversation.
Ivanka, you should pay attention to me, because I’m an only child
and extremely special and really there is no one else who can blow
as much brilliant bull shit up your butt as I can, so just listen as I
continue to say absolutely nothing with conviction and confidence.
The bad news; they all see through you now, sweetheart.
At Forte, things are still rocking. Looks like Lisa is directing some of the scenes now and Dayana is pleased with the results. I can’t believe the word’s I’m hearing, and I’m guessing you won’t either;
“Trust me, no one likes to be annoyed and angry
more than I do, because it’s fun. And, I know
everybody is going to faint when I say this,
but, maybe Dayana is more than just a pretty face.”
And so, with that, Lisa zero’s in on another target to destroy.
But this one is with good reason.
Dayana had asked Lou to do banners to be sure they have branding available during the presentation. He still hasn’t done it and then he tells them he doesn’t really know how to do it and has no idea how to send an e-mail. Lisa has a good point when she asks what else is he good for besides flexing his muscles.
At Unanimous, they are running out of time. Teresa dispatches Clay and Arsenio to go edit the footage they’ve bagged so far. She remains behind to direct the remaining shots with her stellar actors, Aubrey and Paul. Teresa is nervous about the time left and she’s distracted.
Hello? I’m pointing with brilliance here. Think you could pay attention?
Aubrey tells us that this competition is about who is going to be the most efficient business leader. She says no one in their right mind would think that was Lisa or Paul.
Meanwhile, Paul thinks up another multi-million dollar idea.
(How many have you come up with, Aubrey?)
At Forte, the three team members in NYC are in the editing room cutting their commercial together. Lou thinks they should insert the company logo in the right hand corner of the screen, but neither Lisa or Aubrey like the idea. They do humor him by seeing what it would look like on the screen before nixing the idea, so kudos to them for not dissing him entirely. Although Lisa did say, “It was a good idea, Lou. But not really.”
They discover that their piece is exactly sixty seconds long and they celebrate with delight. Dayana turns to Lou and dares him not to love their commercial.
“Of course I love it. I would tell you if I didn’t.”
To which, he immediately comes on in testimonial and tells us, he doesn’t like the commercial. Because they didn’t focus enough on the branding. Personally, I think he’s just pouting that he didn’t get to act.
At the Unanimous editing bay, Clay and Arsenio seem relaxed and are having a great time. They are doing the foley for a zipper that is supposed to sound like pants being unzipped but is really a computer bag. Clay is joking that his nuts got stuck.

The FCC feels the need to bleep (and blur) out the word “nuts” if it refers to testicles. Yet if he had said testicles it would have been acceptable. WTF??? FCC is dumber than a box of rocks.
The rest of the team shows up in editing and that is when Clay and Arsenio realize they are running out of time and they have to step it up. As they continue to cut, Aubrey interrupts and points out that maybe using the word old fashioned is a diss to the coupon books and they would be better off saying old school. Clay gives an incredulous look and says they have no time to do a voice over to modify the concern.
Aubrey reverts to the age she was the last time some one told her no.
There does seem to be some concern on the team that the term old fashioned could be offensive, but they decide to try to slip it past the judges. Teresa tells us if they lose, she will be sure that it is either Clay or Arsenio that goes down, since they were the editors.
It is the morning of the presentations and the entire Unanimous team comes on stage to make their presentation. Teresa does a fine job relating Entertainment.com to being a mother of four and always looking for a way to save money. Her presentation is perfectly acceptable, but afer she finishes, Aubrey decides to speak up, making it look like she is a co-presenter and responsible for the material about to be delivered.
Is this attention grabbing behavior calculated or just a product of only childism?
Their commercial is very suggestive but also cute and funny. Still, the judges winced at the word old fashioned and although they clap politely, it doesn’t seem like they were totally in love with the finished product. Aubrey tells us that Teresa thinks everyone is friends, but she proposes that Clay and Arsenio will “gang bang” their project manager the minute they lose. Ummmm…. never mind – just gonna let that one go.
Team Forte delivers their commercial next and I personally prefer it better. I think it is a cute little ditty that does a better job of illustrating all the things entertainment.com covers in terms of their product line. It doesn’t show off the usage of aps like the other team, but it seems like the judges share my opinion as they are wearing bigger smiles and are clapping at the end of the commercial.
Lou tells us that fireworks will fly in the board room tonight. He says he doesn’t trust Lisa because she has two personalities. He points out she is negative, mean and abrasive. So…. what’s the other personality? Then he says he’s going to make sure they know he doesn’t appreciate being called a bleeping loser. Again, Lou, no one called you a loser. They called you useless. Get it right! Lou seems to have a very self-serving agenda and doesn’t really understand the concept of a team.
It’s about time for Sparky to make an appearance, so he chats with the execs about what they liked best from each commercial. For team Unanimous, they like how they presented as a team and how they presented a bold and gutsy story. They loved Paul and even Aubrey’s performances. The negatives were that they felt the term old fashioned was too negative and that perhaps the storyline was too risque. They also left out vital information such as the cost of the product.
For team Forte, they execs loved the creativity and story line. They were very happy with the parts of the product that were mentioned and they encompassed all the ways you could use the product. In terms of negative for Dayana’s team, they thought it was a snooze fest with boring characters. They used nicer words but I’m getting tired.
Boardroom Time!
Inside the board room, the Forte team quickly reveals that Lou was their weakest player. Lisa admits to Sparky that she was very impressed with Dayana and admits they had a lot of fun and that it went very well. She says Dayana was a great project manager and is excellent at organization. She also says Dayana may not have many ideas, but that seems unfair when they used Dayana’s idea both this week and last week.
Aubrey watches helplessly as Lisa changes her mind about the pretty one.
Lou interrupts to tell Sparky that Lisa is lucky she isn’t a man or he would through her right through a wall. He starts bitching to her about calling him a bleeping loser. The whole thing is bizarre. Lisa tells Lou this should be saved for outside the board room. She also tells him she doesn’t curse in the board room just before swearing at him. Then she warns that if he physically threatens her again there will be a problem, to which he says he doesn’t threaten women.
Team Forte should be called Team Double Talk.
Ivanka and Sparky want to know if she called Lou a loser. She can’t remember, but she says if he says she did, he’s probably right and she apologizes but tells him it is inappropriate to threaten people. But I’m irritated because she didn’t say that. I can’t believe I’m defending her, when she’s usually a bitch I can’t stand, and to be honest I hated her venomous rant after the last boardroom, but she didn’t call him a loser. She called him useless. It’s not the same thing.
This is quickly disintegrating into a Lou and Lisa bickering session. He calls her phony, except I don’t think that’s the case at all. She points out that he’s been kissing her ass for two days and now he’s bringing up all this discontent in the boardroom. Lou claims he says things right to her face as he stares at the table and brings up unaddressed issues in the most inappropriate moment possible.
Thankfully Sparky starts asking the other team if they heard Lisa call Lou a loser. None of them can remember hearing that but it distracts Sparky enough to focus on Aubrey and Arsenio and their feud. Everyone tells him that this week there was peace in the war room and that things were much better. Aubrey is wisely remaining silent. Arsenio tells Trump that he thinks he got the right results with the wrong words. Well said!
When Sparks asks Teresa who she will bring back if her team loses, she tells him that all five would have to come back, because there were no weak links. Sparky tries to scare her by saying the last time that happened two people got fired. WRONG! Tia didn’t bring anyone back with her upon Trump’s word that no one else would get fired. Besides, mathematically, he can’t do any more double eliminations – there are seven episodes left and 8 players.
Teresa can’t name anyone and Ivanka interrupts to ask about the fact that Aubrey took over explaining the concept. Teresa admits she didn’t like that Aubrey was doing it, because as the project manager she wanted to be the one to explain the idea, but she also didn’t think Aubrey meant any disrespect by it. Ivanka does a great service to everyone by explaining to Aubrey that her actions are polarizing and it’s this kind of stuff that alienates her from the team.
What do you think he would have done if his kids were stupid?
There is some lighthearted banter in which Trump tries to imagine how Clay would do hanging out with Paul and his biker buddies and what it would be like for Clay to work in his shop.
Then Trump tells the teams that the execs loved both commercials and it is time to view them. Unanimous is up first.
Paul predicts he’ll never live this down.
Look! He’s blushing!
Trump asks team Forte what they thought of the video and Dayana says she thought it was entertaining and that Paul was great. Lisa says it was very good but not better than their video. Penn says he’s not a fan of double entendres, but for all that, he did in fact like the video.
Trump then rolls out the Forte video and it doesn’t seem as fun as when it was being shot. When it finishes, Trump asks Dayana why none of them starred in it. She tries to tell Trump that none of them fit the casting, but Lou interrupts to say he wanted to be in it but she said no. Lisa points out Lou never said he wanted to be in it.
Ooohhhh we’re treading on dangerous ground here. Teresa tells Trump she could have seen Dayana playing the role of the young woman and Arsenio chimes in to say he could see Penn playing the part of the man. Trump agrees. Penn says he’s too old to play that part and Trump asks “for a young woman?” He jokes Penn is much too old for a young woman and he hates those kind of men…
Trump asks Clay which commercial he likes better, and of course he says he likes his teams commercial better. Then Trump asks Lou which one he likes and Lou also says he likes Forte’s commercial better. His reason is that they used star power. What he means is he’s mad that he didn’t get to star in his team’s video, so he’ll punish them by throwing them under the bus and saying he liked the commercial where team players get to star in the product. Does the man not think before he speaks???
Lisa says it is easy to be a turncoat when you did nothing on the project and your heart isn’t invested. Lou’s face is twitching like crazy at this point. There must be some correlation to his brain function and facial muscles.
Lisa tells Lou that Penn did more in his few hours than Lou did the entire time he was there. When Lou responds with, “so I didn’t do nothing, right? I just sat around, right?” Lisa tells him pretty much and then reviews his task list. She mentions the printing he was supposed to do that he couldn’t and that he helped haul props., but that’s where the list ends.
Someone just figured out where her next meal is coming from.
Poor Lou. I’m not saying he’s dumb, but he’s certainly not sharp enough to talk his way out of the conundrum he’s just walked himself in to. The Trumps are asking him if it is a good idea to say he likes the other team’s commercial better, while also saying it is good to be truthful.
I want you to be honest, but then again, you will pay for it.
The exec’s opinions are now reviewed and big pointers are that Dayana’s video didn’t show how to actually use the ap, while Teresa’s video used the word old fashioned, which wasn’t a nice word.
The Godfather declares Unanimous the winner.
Teresa gets emotional, now that she has managed to win money for the little boy she is fighting for. I can’t help but wonder if this wasn’t once again rigged because Dayana already won money for her charity, while Teresa was empty handed up until this point. The way the show was edited, I was pretty sure all along that Forte would win and Teresa would be sent home. So to hear that Unanimous was crowned the victor has got me eying the whole episode with suspicion once again.
Unanimous exits the board room and are celebrating in their office. Teresa is squaling in this really annoying high pitched voice about how happy she is. Aubrey embraces her and tells her that she knew they would win.
Hypocrite!
In the boardroom, Lou and Lisa are at it again. Lou claims Lisa is just trying to cover her ass and she rips into Lou that she’s the only one who is guaranteed to be safe because she does all the work. Back in Unanimous’ room, Paul and Arsenio agree that they would never want to bleep with Lisa or be on her team, since she keeps losing.
Penn explains the problem the best, which is that although Lou says he is a team player, he also says the team should lose. He tells Trump that if Lou said they should star in the video, he doesn’t remembering hearing it and that he can’t just make a suggestion. If he thinks they should all be in the video, he also has to offer an idea to facilitate that suggestion.
Oh crap. Trump is going back to the casting again and asks Penn if he thinks he could have played the part of the guy in the video. Penn says no, while sexagenarian Lou is shaking his head yes. Lisa chimes in that it would be creepy to have a fifty six year old man with a twenty something girl in this context.
It’s creepy to me that Trump has to do the math to determine if he qualifies as creepy.
There is a quick scramble as they all race to assure Sparky that the sentiment doesn’t apply to him.
I can’t wait to sink my teeth into your ham hocks, Lisa.
Trump asks Dayana who will be getting a free pass and is allowed to leave the board room. She deliberates but ultimately says that Penn wasn’t there for the whole time and contributed so much that he will get the free pass. She then tries to explain how much great work Lisa did too, which has Trump marveling that she could say such nice things about a woman who’s been gunning for her week after week. But Dayana is classy and honest. I love that girl.
Trump asks Lisa if she has had a change of heart and Lisa admits this week was an eye opener and refers to Dayana as incredibly capable. They are all sent out of the boardroom and Penn gets to retreat to the Unanimous holding tank.
In the waiting area, Lou and Lisa are at it again, but Lisa keeps getting the last and most vicious word. Lou isn’t really mentally cut out for this sort of battle. Dayana sits demurely and says nothing.
Once they are back in the boardroom, the discussion quickly morphs from how many times Dayana has been in called back to how useful Lou is. Lisa tells Ivanka that Lou is not vindictive, he’s just only good for brawn, which is not useful. What Lou doesn’t have is ideas.
When Lou tries to pull the hearing impairment card, Lisa calls bullbleep. Lou makes absolutely no sense as he says he gives 110%, he doesn’t fight, he doesn’t get angry, he supports his team and he always tells the truth. He has contradicted every single one of those statements this episode.
Ivanka points out that Lou is complaining that Lisa’s cursing causes a negative attitude but his choosing the other teams video as better is also a negative attitude. Lou is unable to respond.
He would still be stuck like this if Ivanka hadn’t made a follow up statement.
Lou tells us all that it takes him longer to digest things because he has to focus and listen harder. It’s tough for him if more than one person is talking at a time. That is all understandable and justifiable, but as Lisa points out, once he’s digested the information, he needs to vocalize it. She then accuses him of using the hearing as an excuse when he needs to. I kind of agree with her on this one.
Dorkus Amongus interrupts the shouting match between these two to point out that he can’t stand that Lou back stabbed his team but he admires that Lou had the cojones to tell Trump his real opinion. I would agree with DJ if in fact that had been Lou’s real opinion. The thing is, I don’t think it really was. I think the way Lou thought this would all go down is that he would say he liked their video better because they used their star power and it would teach his winning team a lesson to be sure to use him in the next task. This was a pathetic strategy that backfired on him and now he’s forced to stick with an opinion he doesn’t really have.
Trump tells Lou it doesn’t sit well with him that he said he liked the other team’s project better. He says loyalty is very important to him and with that, he fires Lou Ferrigno.
“Take it back. I don’t want to be fired.”
What the hell? Has that ever worked on this show? I would never dare to tell Trump to take back a decision he has made. It’s actually kind of pathetic as Lou repeats several times, “I don’t want to be fired.”
Look Lou, I’ll still dream about you. But there’s no place for you here anymore.
And so, our old friend the Hulk is sent packing.
But not before exacting a little revenge on the elevator doors.
Good bye, Mr. 110%
I can’t stand disloyalty.
He dug his own grave. But don’t worry, I’ll get him out.
We’ve always heard that growing up from you; loyalty is everything.
Except when it comes to wives.
If you like it, spread it!:

Did I ever think I’d see Paul wearing Clay’s clothes before Celeb Apprentice? Did I ever think I’d see (since they’re bleeped out) the amount of profanity on this show? Did I think I’d develop a visceral, sickening dislike of Lisa & Aubrey? Oh well, makes for good tv. I will probably cheer when (if) Aubray hears, “You’re fired.”
Great funny recap, again.
I ‘m really glad to see Mr. Mumbles gone. He’s NOT a good actor. He’s not very bright. He’s petulant. I’d much rather have kept Dee,and Patricia. I loathe Aubrey. I give Lisa 5 points for admitting Dayana way more than a pretty face. I really think Aubrey has it in her to think about the “old fashioned ” idea, wait till it’s too late to act, hope her team loses, and calculate that either Arsenio or Clay will be thrown out by old Sparky. Bitch.
The entire ending of this recap is pure brilliance! “except when it comes to wives”
This recap is one of the bright spots of my week, thank you!
I must say as much as I wanted Lou gone from the show it was sad to see him beg not to be fired.
Why won’t someone point out in the boardroom that Lisa’s claims to be the driving force in every task is a bad thing since her team is now 2-7? I was a big fan of hers before the show, and can’t say I will ever be again.
Incredible job by Ivanka teaching a very valuable lesson to loud-mouth Aubrey in non-confrontational way in the board room.
Dayana all the way. I didn’t know much about her before the show started, but she has handled every situation perfectly.
First let me say, I was completely wrong about Lou. Whoever had told me he was a nice guy was misinformed. Furthermore, he sure is jittery. Is that a side affect of steroid use?
No, Lisa…most people will not hate Arsenio for calling Aubrey a bitch. Aubrey is a bitch. We calls ‘em as we sees ‘em.
I call foul, however, at Arsenio’s claim his cousin didn’t have an opportunity to be tested for AIDS. There are free clinics all over the country (in Cleveland, too) that will test people at no charge. She certainly COULD have gotten tested if she had wanted to. And if Arsenio loved her that much, he could have helped her, as well.
I hated Aubrey telling Arsenio she accepted his apology, then saying plainly in her confessional that she doesn’t accept his apology. That alone makes me hope she is next to be eliminated. It ranked right up there with Lou telling Dayana and Lisa he liked the commercial, then saying the opposite in his confessional. Get a spine and say to people what you really think.
I will give Lou a pass on the “loser” “useless” thing. They may sound similar to someone with a hearing deficit. But I did find his “take it back” to be pathetic. I think he’s another “star” who has been so coddled, he isn’t used to being told no.
Oops – need a fact checker.
In this TERRIFIC as ALWAYS review, you said “Lou also says he likes Forte’s commercial better ”
NO, he said he likes the UNANIMOUS commercial better.
TRAITOR LOU.
Regardless, he is now gone with the wind.
CATTYFAN – I am sorry that I hate your comments about HIV and Arsenio’s cousin dying from AIDS. Do you have all of the facts about his cousin? Huh?
Since HIV/AIDS does not usually cause one to die overnight, it very well could be a fact that his cousin had HIV/AIDS for many years, long before there were free clinics for testing.
So obviously you saying that Arsenio is lying?
No need to respond. Just wanted to mention this for future readers to put your comments into the proper context.
Donald’s rewards have been 20K this whole time and the participating company has been putting in 30K to make it 50K total – this was the 1st one who upped the amount to 40K.
No, I am not saying Arsenio is lying. I do, however, think it’s a misrepressentation of the facts. He said “if she could have gotten tested, she might still be alive.” Free clinics and free testing have been around for more than two decades.
I think Arsenio is doing a great thing raising money for a worthy cause. But I also suspect his grief over his cousin’s death has colored his persepctive over how she might have been saved.
At last!! Someone who can do math! I thought I was the only one shouting $35,014 at the screen this whole time!
I feel so…..vindicated *g*.
This recap is always one of the highlights of the week. I snorted burger at “Who is leaking” and several other picture captions.
I also like that Ivanka pointed out to Aubrey, in a fairly low-key way, why everyone hates her; she should likely be careful crossing streets and in ladies’ washrooms going forward though…the woman is not to be trusted and WILL get her. Hire a bodyguard for the children, Ivanka!
I hadn’t formed much of an opinion if any about most of these people before watching the show. I don’t care about business much, although my husband has been a CEO and a CTO over the years. I knew about Lisa and Arsenio, had heard of Theresa, Mr. Andretti,Dee Snider,George Takei, had heard of Paul’s show, knew the name Debbie Gibson, have seen Penn Gillette on TV, barely recognized the model that was fired in the first episode,I like Tia Carerre, frequently hear the name Carson Daly, and lastly, watched the show because I’m a huge fan of Clay Aiken.Ok-I forgot Lou,the affable strongman. I never thought of him as an actor. Never, ever. 8 notches down from The Arnold-really!Remember-Arnold moved to this country with a few dollars and no English-also a handicap, and a thick Austrian accent. The “famous Aubrey ” whatsits however, was never even a blip on the bubble of the scum just outside my line of vision. Now I hadn’t heard of Patricia either. But that’s like comparing a pig’s anus and a Peruvian Lilly, neither of which I have come in contact with frequently. The former, I can see already that I have had more than enough contact. The latter,Patricia, I know I could benefit from knowing more about her. She seems one classy individual. Lou? I’m severely disappointed. I somehow thought he was less petty ,less small than he is. He acts like the whole world is against him. Maybe not before Lou. Maybe not before.
thanks for the correction, Musicleader. At 1 am these things get confusing….
Lisa further disgusts me-
http://www.tmz.com/2012/04/10/lisa-lampanelli-dayana-mendoza-racial-slur/
I have to agree. I have worked with HIV + people for years and my father is HIV+. I thought as well that Arsenio was just overly emotional and was just saying words. Maybe he evens feels guilty he did not do more to help his cousin.
I actually warmed to Lisa a bit this week. She was nicer to Dayana. She stuck up to Arsenio when he went too far on his Aubrey rant and he did go too far. Glad to see Lou gone. He thought he should be front and center in every commercial. Der….
I liked Lisa before this show. Not now, not at all.
I’m going to hell because I thought “take it back” was 110% hilarious.
As Clay would correct you….
‘Trump asks Clay which commercial he likes better, and of course he says he likes his teams commercial better. Then Trump asks Lou which one he likes and Lou also says he likes Forte’s commercial better.’
Team Unanimous!!! Not Forte.
Unfortunately for Lou,in Lisa’s world,110% is 50%. ” Take it back.” Maybe he was right. He sounds like a 6 year old. Oops-too young to be getting engaged. Sorry Lou. Lift something.
Luscious, I find the two team names confusing at 8:00 p.m. When the show airs here. It’s worse now that the team members have been scrambled.
Arsenio has since stated that it was the early 80′s that his cousin would have been tested, and I doubt there was much low cost testing at that time for HIV in clinics.
Still reading recap, brilliant as always. I saw on twitter that Becky “buckwild” from flava of love asked Penn what was up with the red polish on one nail. Penn answered it was to honor his mom.
I am glad Lou is gone, the twitching freaked me out. Thanks for the laughs
Aubrey thought that she was bullied because she WAS bullied. And I just love the fact that everyone seems so satisfied with themselves because calling her a whore is indeed constructive critisism because after all it worked! It put her in line so she meshed with the group! No harm no foul! I also love the way that Arsineo was being the big guy by putting the hurtful words he said to someone else behind him and moving forward.
Clay also said that she came out of her Mom, stripping. Now, I know that he said it in confessional and while it was behind her back, if those words came from his mouth, I betcha he isn’t treating her with much respect either and she knows it.
Aubrey is many adjectives. Diabolical, self absorbed, etc.. Hell, she could be a bedhopper for all I know. What I do know is, the way that Arsineo came at her and his rant about her to others was uncalled for. And it was not the first time those guys have tried to put her in line so that she “meshed with the group”. They have been treating her with disdain and talking about her within earshot things that are fighting words if somebody said that about their Mom or cousin.
I also think that the words “Gang Bang” that Aubrey used was telling. Perhaps she has been on the recieving end of this ? Sure looks like it, to me. After all, Arsineo managed to bring her under control, as he told in the boardroom, with “Wrong Words” , BUT IT WORKED! Of course they were just “wrong words”..nothing more than that! Nothing about that sounds like a bully at all. Words dont hurt as long as the person gets in line and you get the “right results”, huh? What a Bitch.
Your view on why Lou said he didn’t like his team video is interesting. I wondered why he would do such a stupid thing and knew that there was a method to his madness somewhere. I think you are probably right about his intentions. Loved the Lou screencap.
Thanks for the recap.
Robin
When was Aubrey bullied? In the boardroom? Arsenio raised his voice in righteous indignation, but there wasn’t much cussing that I recall. When he lost it and was calling her bitch and whore, she wasn’t around, but Lisa was, and then it was Lisa who started bullying Arsenio. I think she scared him too. I would be scared with that hideous beast yelling at me. Clay’s “disrespect” in confessional wasn’t any worse than the many shots Aubrey has taken at most everybody else in her confessionals.
If he didn’t cuss at her and call her vile names before the boardroom then where did he come up with “Wrong Words, Right result” in the boardroom?
Something happened beforehand to get him to think that his management style of calling people names is Ok as long as the person is compliant after you try to demoralise them. He said as much at the Boardroom “Wrong Words, Right Result”, bukkshit. Aubry told him that his words hurt her, so she heard something…
Aubrey does take potshots at everyone in her confessionals. She certainly hones in on other folks weaknesses. But, I have never heard her say anything about anyone that would cut to the bone as much as being called a whore on national television.
Her critisism of others is always about a particular task and/or the individuals that don’t perform well and why they didn’t perform well. Yeah, she is biting in her commentary and she is bitchy, but again, she makes remarks that are directed at buisiness at hand and doesn’t cross the line by calling folks hurtful names just because you can..
TC, Robin
Aubrey also said Clay bullied her in the boardroom. All I remember was Trump asking Clay if Arsenio’s complaints against Aubrey were valid, and Clay said they were. That is does not fit my definition of bullying. Aubrey said their words hurt her. So what? I imagine that anything spoken to her that does not involve kissing her ass hurts her. Even if Aubrey stayed on one side of some arbitrary line while slinging her insults, her targets were probably hurt by her words as well.
Well, if free clinics are already so accessible all over the country then Magic Johnson is just wasting his time, right? I mean, surely he can find other ways to spend donated funds, wouldn’t one think?
I’m gonna wager that Magic has identified a need and is now out to correct it.
Aubrey said she was bullied in the courtroom when there were two people who found her to be the team weakest member. Hmm..so was Tia Carrere bullied when she had both Lisa and Aubrey tearing her to pieces in the boardroom?
Just trying to get a little perspective here..
Great recap, Luscious! Especially the last line! Haha..
I’m remembering when a celeb told the Donald to “take it back” and it actually worked. Latoya Jackson, anyone?
Ha! Should say *boardroom*. Damn you, autocorrect!
It is turning a blind eye to think that Magic Johnson’s fund for folks with aids and aids related illness is the only place to get help and Arsneo did a diservice by telling folks that it is, especially when there is alot of info and help out there over and above private funding and donations.
Johnson isn’t wasting his time. He is started a non profit many yrs ago and it is one of the non profits that really help folks. People like him are a part of the solution but he is not alone in his efforts. Many of his Orgs protocal is based on Gov standards.
I think that giving folks the impression that it is extemely hard to be tested for HIV other than through the Magic foundation is irresponsible on Arsinoe’s part. He should know better than to lead folks in the wrong direction after losing someone so close with the disease. There are certainly other places to be tested and the bad part about it, he knows it. Apparently his cousin was tested somewhere other than the Magic foundation….
*whispers softly* Adam Corolla, not Carson Daly.
Carson is much better looking than Adam LOL.
Well, I don’t know about free clinics but I assume they are only for people on Medicaid? Our can anyone just walk in and receive free tests and care? I think what Magic is doing is offering free testing without all the red tape. There are plenty of working people who make too much to qualify for free healthcare but not enough to pay for healthcare for themselves and their families.
I think people are giving Arsenio’s word too much weight. Sure, he is advocating for his charity, and he believes Magic identified a need for testing in underprivileged areas. Doesn’t mean it’s the only method. But based on Magic’s business savvy, I’m thinking he doesn’t just toss these funds to the wind. Quite possibly, people are benefiting from his mobile testing units. And whether there are other facilities around, if Magic’s the one they hear of, and the end result is the same (people getting tested), then I don’t see why one should disparage anyone who raises awareness for such a worthy cause.
Nobody bullied Aubrey.
I was bullied as a kid, so I like that people are focusing on it as an issue now, but the flipside of that is the term ends up getting way overused by people who are just looking to get sympathy by using a word that elicits a strong emotional response. There’s a difference between bullying and telling someone about themselves. What Lisa and Aubrey have done to Dayana week after week, that was bullying. What Lisa and Aubrey did to Tia, tht was bullying. What Clay and Arsenio did to Aubrey was telling her alllllll about herself, and there’s nothing wrong with that. Arsenio used the wrong language for sure, but Aubrey is a controlling and selfish jerk, and they told her so. It’s not just them either, because she was kicked out of Danity Kane for the exact same reason. She thinks she knows everything and was always trying to make everything about her. Aubrey’s always been self-centered and people have always disliked her for it. You’d think that by now, she would have learned to change her ways, but no.
I mean, if Ivanka Trump of all people has to step in and tell you something, then you know you have a problem.
So glad that Lou Ferrigno is gone. I liked him in the beginning and I do think that he’s a nice guy, but he’s one of those people who are only nice as long as you worship them. Once you start doing your own thing, he becomes such a cowardly and underhanded man. And he’s clearly deluded about his acting ability. His only real role has been as The Hulk, which doesn’t require much acting talent. And he was Sinbad once, but that movie is so terrible it’s scary. My sisters and I still text each other randomly and go “Hey, remember Sinbad of the Seven Seas?” and no matter how far we are from one another, we know that the others are laughing their asses off. I honestly think that if it wasn’t for his bodybuilding, he would have never made it as an actor. Maybe he’s a good motivational speaker, I don’t know, but I’m going to need him to have an entire stadium of seats with his constant insisting that he has to be the star and has to be in front all the time. You are not that good, honey boo boo chile.
I do wonder why he twitches so much though. In the boardroom, it’s like there’s an earthquake in his face.
My only sadness is that with him out, Lisa will likely go back to mistreating my beautiful Venezuelan unicorn.
Holy shit, Batman. That’s racist!
Lisa shtick has always been racist humor and it had always made me uncomfortable. I saw one of her shows once and she opened with, “Well, you know me, you know I date the ‘blacks’.” And she lit into every cringe-inducing negative stereotype about Black people that she could think of. She even invented a few of her own. It was so bad, I had to change the channel.
That’s when I loved when Snoop Dogg retired into her on the Flava Flav roast. She wanted him to say one of his “Fo shizzle my nizzle” lines. So, he obliged.
“Bitch, I wouldn’t f*ck your nasty pu**y for all the weed in Compton. Izzle .”
Great recap!!!! The “I wonder which one is leaking” line and the one leading up to it were probably the funniest parts of a recap I’ve ever seen. Well done!
Aubrey is like many, in that she can dish but cannot take it. Her comments about Tia’s age were totally unprofessional and not “business related” criticisms. I do think Aubrey felt as though Arsenio and Clay ganged up on her but she was such a pain and so intentionally spotlight hogging it wasn’t a surprise two people agreed on a very negative opinion. I think the suddenness of it shocked her most of all- she was dancing in her seat so proud of herself and even asked the men “aren’t you glad we’re here” because she’s so clueless about her image. When Arsenio lashed out after holding his tongue and nodding his head for the whole challenge I think it really deflated her.
Also, Lisa knows he is right and could only take issue with his misogynistic remarks. Hilarious coming from someone who makes a living saying the most offensive thing she can think of – no group immune. I would love to see Aubrey and Lisa stay on the same team because eventually they would hate each other and go head to head and it would be very satisfying.
I was happy to see the Trumps being very likable all episode. No ridick boardroom calls or statements (except the factually inaccurate remark to Teresa) and I like to see the Don’s sense of humor about himself peek out.
Lastly, the more boring commercial totally should have won. It hit the product, the demographic, everything correctly and it was totally amateurish however their budget and timeline really couldn’t have done more. In regular seasons, the company will commit to airing the winning commercial, using the winning logo, etc. so I think the results were more fair and true but I don’t hear that a lot on this and thank god because they have across the board come up with some real crap ideas. Its been a race to last place every challenge. Paul’s logo for Ivanka’s brand is the only thing to come out of this show worth keeping! Lisa and Aubrey should chill on their “creative” because besides losing a lot, most of what they think up is only good compared to worse ideas.
How does calling her a whore tell her “allllll about herself” ?
It’s not like he said it to her face. She only saw the ‘whore’ comment when we all did, months later. So, is it really bullying? Trash talking, perhaps. But bullies make a point of being confrontational..in-your-face name calling. While frustrated in the boardroom, Arsenio never resorted to name calling.
How is telling Tia she is old “about a particular task and/or the individuals that don’t perform well and why they didn’t perform well”?
As stated, It appears (always tricky on this show) that Arsenio went on the name-calling rampage when Aubrey was not in the room and it was duly reported to her by Lisa. Doesn’t make it right and doesn’t mean Arsenio’s apology was enough to repair his image or make me think 100% better of him.
Aubrey is an unprofessional bratty glory hog and she definitely FELT bullied, but because she is out of touch with her own behavior as it relates to those around her she was probably genuinely surprised when the two boys had criticisms. If getting a dose of reality kept her quiet on this task, then I commend them because Lisa has allowed Aubrey’s big ego to become dangerously overinflated with praise from the older, more talented woman. She took over the last task and probably thought she was being cute and effective and a great team player. If Arsenio cursing and losing his mind gives her reason to discount what was said in the boardroom then more’s the pity, because she needs some perspective.
Arsenio was in the wrong, Aubrey is just plain obtuse.
I do find it ironic that Lou actually made good points this episode. He suggested the camera work feature multiple angles and show how the app worked, either over the shoulder or as an icon on the screen. He was rebuffed. Then the clients critiqued the video, saying they wished it wasn’t shot in the same angle and that it also demonstrated how to use the apps. (Teresa did this, but did she think of it on her own?)
If Lou were smart and articulate enough, he could have reminded everyone that he’d pitched these ideas and Dayana and Lisa shot him down. Lisa even pretended to not have heard his addition of acting in the video when it was brought up in the boardroom. (Just say his acting sucks, but it’s dishonest to say he never suggested it.)
Either way, Lou is useless in other respects. This is the first task I’ve seen him offer any good ideas. But as they say, too little…too late.
It was nice of him to shake hands with the doorman, though. Everyone else treats them like the help.
For goodness sakes, He Appologised for what he said. She said that she was hurt by what he said. He said “Wrong Words, Right Result” in the boardroom. She heard those comments long before we saw them Sun night.
OMG that made my day! Woot Snoop!
At first I thought It was pretty cool that Lisa admitted that Dayana was a good leader, but then I thought, did she just do that because Dayana was project manager? Was that just a ploy to avoid the boardroom? Will the love fest continue next week? Probably not.
Wow! I felt like I was at Wimbledon, watching one side and then the other present cogent, well supported arguments.
I wish that I had learned to argue growing up ’cause I wanted to jump in from time to time. But everybody was doing such a good job I kept quiet. Until now.
There’s a difference between bullying and telling someone about themselves.
Exactly right. Arsenio was clearly agitated when he told Aubrey and Trump what his issues with her were, but Clay merely agreed, when asked by Trump, that Aubrey took over the task when no one wanted her to take over the task, yet Aubrey claims Clay bullied her. Bullshit. What seems to have upset some people was Arsenio’s angry, name-calling rant, telling his teammates that Aubrey is a bitch (very true) and a whore (speculation), but that happened only after Aubrey had already stormed out of the building so once again, Aubrey’s bullying claim is bullshit.
I think I see where you are hung up and truly we don’t know what goes on off camera, but if Arsenio had gone off on Aubrey to her face, I’m feel certain it wouldn’t have been cut from the episode. Are you suggesting he and/or Clay cornered her later that night and called her a whore?
His rant went unheard but not unheard of by her (Lisa, producers, etc). And hearing about someone ranting and calling you a bitch and whore would hurt. Hence the apology, what Lisa said about image hit home for Arsenio I bet.
If any editing was done it was probably to the apology where explaining to Sparks that he said nasty things after boardroom was boring bc the audience already knew.
For most of the season, Aubrey has been dissing almost everyone – definitely agree that this immature 20something loves to dish it but cannot take it! I especially have been offended when she (and Lisa) continue to make fun of the two Venezuelan women by mocking their accents. Shame on you Aubrey, beotch! I cannot believe that her behavior (albeit encouraged) on this show will help her career one iota. Did not know who she was before this and could care less afterwards. PS – When the show was beginning, according to media reports, she only then dyed her hair that awful red color (with nice brown roots most of the time). If she did the red thing to make her more memorable, it may have worked but her MOUTHINESS alone would have done it – in a not so great way.
Thanks for the recap – great job! I have to say two things: 1) I cannot stand Lisa and Aubrey. That said, they’ve made for some great t.v. this season. Not too good for my blood pressure though – I want to slap them both. 2) Re: the only childism. I’m an only child, and I’m the “everyone, please like me!” type. A total people pleaser. I’m working on that. I guess, like any stereotype, it doesn’t hold water.
Now, if we put Lisa and Aubrey and Alicia & Colton from Survivor together on a team…can you imagine? Sheer evil!!
ANYONE can be tested at a free clinic. As a slut who has had insurance and now doesn’t I have been tested in both free clinics (while I was insured) and paid for the $180 at AIM (Adult Industry Medical) and been tested by my gyno for $200. Many insurance companies do not cover the test. Free clinics are for people who want to be tested privately (anonymously) and/or don’t have money to get the test.
Arsenio is probably too upset to relay the real facts, or being a huge star with close encounter of the 3rd kind hands, he doesn’t know all the facts. Remember in the 80’s HIV was still considered a homosexual, prostitute or drug addict disease and people didn’t get tested for fear of being stigmatized into one of those groups. The information was not available and in a way is still unavailable. Free clinics are getting the info out there.
I believe free testing was available in the early nineties after high profile AIDS casualties like Freddy Mercury and Arthur Ashe were made public. However I’m not sure. I do know that it has been free ever since I’ve been sexually active and I do take advantage of this.
I’m a big believer of free testing and don’t think Magic is wasting his time. We can never have enough information and free places to go. The clinics not only have to provide free tests but also proper education and all that costs money. I say Go Magic Go!
First time poster! I found this site a couple of weeks ago and the recaps are entertaining and sooooo on point.
I’ve worked for corporate America and have had my own boardroom moments (although none as exciting as Trumps for sure!) Aubrey would not last in any corporation that I’ve worked for. Her lack of teamwork, showboating, me-me-me attitude would be out the door before you can say “I need a color retouch!”. Her “creativity” would be offset in a second because no one would work with her. I’m surprised that early on the women (minus Lisa) didn’t band together to get her cocky ass off the show. They hi-jacked the creative process on their team. If together they would have mention that Lisa and Aubrey’s creative ideas cost them the task, we might not still be talking about them.
They make good tv though…..
Lisa doesn’t seem to have many flattering camera angles.
The word “bully” is bandied about too frequently these days………. If someone talks to you the wrong way you were “bullied”. From the Housewives with their “mean girls” shtick to the Celebrity Apprentice, it’s used too loosely. Tell it to the poor kids in school who are truly bullied on a daily basis- tortured day in and day out, to sometimes the point of suicide. Aubrey (and Tia and Dayana, etc.) are all grown ass people who can fend for themselves.
By the way, I love how Dayana just sits there stoically most of the time, letting everyone else look like a fool with their bickering. She’s an example of a classy way to handle a situation. Love her!
Free HIV testing clinics are primarily run by volunteers and are available to anyone in the community (not just those on Medicaid). While there is a number of them, they require funding (largely from private donations). The testing centers are not always easily accessible to people without a means of transportation.
For instance, I could drive right now to an HIV testing center, get tested, and counseled on both my sexual practices and what a positive test would mean while waiting for the results (which are available in about 20 minutes). Now, if I did not have a reliable means of transportation, then visiting a testing center would pose a problem. Also there are political and religious organizations that try to prevent the establishment of these clinics, because they feel that they encourage promiscuity by educating their patients on sexual health. But that’s another topic entirely…
Unfortunately, much of the HIV and AIDS crisis in the US is occurring in low income communities, where transportation to a testing center is a big challenge. Providing mobile testing centers or increasing the number of free clinics in underserved areas will help eliminate the need for transportation, which is just another barrier to testing for our poorer communities.
I’m an RN, and community and sexual health are areas that I’m really passionate about. If you donate time or money to a cause like Magic Johnson’s, you can be assured that your donation will have a positive impact directly on your community.
wrong. Saying bitch and whore whether she is in the room or not about someone is bullying. Talking smack counts as bullying. I should know since I have been bullied as a child and as an adult. Talking smack is just another form of bullying because they want it to get back to you but they are too chicken to say it to your face or in front of others like Trump for instance so they talk smack to a few people.
I had other adults use that tactic with me multiple times and it hurt worse than if they had just said it to my face. At least that way I could defend myself and insult them back. So in my opinion, what Arsenio was doing in the lounge was way worse than anything Aubrey ever did. I don’t like Aubrey and some of the things he said about her in the boardroom were true, some were not. But this rant in the lounge was way over the line and Lisa was right to go off on him. I would have too. That is actually what got me bullied was I would stand up for others who were being talked about. It stinks. End of story.
Also, back in the 80′s, your insurance company finding out that you were tested was enough cause for them to cancel your policy. Because if you felt the need the be tested that must mean that you were living a dangerous lifestyle.
I need to do a little research. Wondering what the percentage of people with the HIV virus have survived for 21 years without it turning into full blown AIDS. Any of you medical types have info?
Anybody remember that Magic Johnson South Park episode? The boys find out that he survived all these years because of money. And to cure AIDS you had to inject yourself with money.
Agreed. Just because someone talks bad about you doesn’t mean that you’ve been bullied. Does it hurt your feelings? Well yeah because we all want to be liked, but when you have several people ganging up on one person then that person can say they were bullied.
We live in two different universes. End of story.
One person can easily bully someone. You don’t have to have a group for it to be bullying. One big kid pushing another kid into a locker is bullying. One girl telling another girl she looks like a dog is bullying. It does not take an audience.
Basically anything that is violence is bullying. Anything that is extremely hurtful and done in a mean spirited and unconstructive way is bullying. Because you are doing or saying something that you intend to hurt and intimidate and offend. It is something that does not need to be said.
Arsenio saying Aubrey took over tasks or is pushy is constructive. Him calling her a bitch and a whore and having a gut is bullying. That is hurtful and vindictive and not constructive at all. Ivanka was able to council Aubrey without being insulting. Arsenio failed at that.
What you are essentially saying is that rudeness is bullying. Lisa bullied Arsenio then, but you told me up above that he deserved it and that you would have done what Lisa did.. Aubrey didn’t deserve to be bullied, but Arsenio did. Aubrey and Lisa bullied Cheryl, Tia, and Lou. Lisa bullies a whole lot of people every time she gets on stage.
Lighten up, Francis.
That’s so true, luckily she has her sparkling personality to fall bac…um her hands were made for radio?
Exactly @sarcastire.
Everything he said to her and about her in the boardroom was telling her about herself.
Everything he said when she wasn’t in the room, was him talking shit and letting off steam.
That is not the same thing as bullying.
If it was, then we’re all bullies, because everyone has talked shit behind other people’s back.
I will concede if some could please give me an answer why Arsineo said “wrong words, right result” IN THE BOARDROOM, if he hadn’t said something to her BEFORE THE BOARDROOM. He made it clear that what he said BEFORE the boardroom caused her to follow suit and mesh with the group during the task and this is where he came up with “wrong words, right result”.
I will not concede however, in both my opinion that he seemed pretty darn proud of himself for breaking her down with those “wrong words” because after all, he got the “right results”. Or the fact that he is a total POS for calling her those foul names and commenting on her physical appearance.
TC, Robin
Two wrongs don’t make a right and all that. I would totally go off on someone and bully them if they are bullying someone else because maybe they will realize what it feels like and how much it sucks when someone goes too far or gets real insulting towards you. Aubrey is sneaky with her bad behavior and while that is not okay, I prefer that to calling someone bitch and whore and fat and yelling at to of your lungs for 30 minutes. That was just unprofessional. In real life that kind of behavior gets you fired or sued for harassment.
Arsenio’s (warranted) criticism in the boardroom caused Aubrey to cry, and then to walk out. THOSE were the “wrong words” to which Arsenio was referring, and for which he apologized. The “right result” was her (marginally) better behavior on the subsequent task.
We never saw Arsenio call Aubrey names in the boardroom.. Between the boardroom session where he called out her bad behavior and the following one in which he said “wrong words, right result,” he had his hissy fit which both Aubrey and Trump were surely told about.
In my opinion, he just called her whore as a catch-all insult and he did not mean that she was a literal whore just like you realize that Arsenio is a human being and not literally a piece of feces.
Robinez, this was SUPPOSED to show up as a reply to your post.
I’ve been called everything you can think of at one time or another. The only time that I would consider it bullying was if some huge guy was yelling at me and I had reason to suspect that I would be getting a physical beating. Aubrey never thought Arsenio would strike her. On the other hand, Arsenio might have thought Lisa would beat him down, and I can’t say that I would blame him.
Yes, I agree that Arsenio lost control, was rude, was unprofessional, and that he should feel embarrassed by his childish fit/ But he was not a bully unless your definition is so broad as to include almost anything.
This was a reply, also. To April this time.
This was a reply to April, which did not end up where it should.
Thank You Cattyfan. I appreciate the reply. Although I still think that calling her a whore on national television was hitting below the belt regardless of where or when he said it. That and Clays attempt at humor by saying that she came out of mother stripping, well that kind of stuff isn’t neccesary regardless of how vapid they may think she is.
TC, Robin
Gotcha crankyguy. Cattyfan already told me
I guess these long episodes start morphing into each other and I thought this all happened in the one episode.
Again, I still don’t think what he did was right, but this certainly clears my confusion why he said “Wrong words right result” in the boardroom.
BTW touche re; literall peice of feces. Although I still think he is.
TC, Robin
I never like “whore” as an insult, unless someone is having a lot of sex and charging for it. There are so many other more accurate insults, there’s no need to stoop to that.
“Bullying” is the new “I had a screwed up childhood”. It’s a real thing, kids are totally fucked up, and it’s an issue that definitely needs to be dealt with in schools, and more importantly at home.
BUT, the cry of “bullying” it’s quickly becoming the next reality TV ‘thing’. All these shows are based on inflated conflict, anyway, so reality TV will quickly turn it into a toothless cliche.
Again, just because someone talks bad about you does not mean that you are bullied. If it is constant and malicious you may have grounds to think so, but a few mean spirited comments is not bullying.
notwithoutmytv…you’re my Big Toe.
That’s why I don’t like the term applied to childish name calling. It needs to mean something serious when it’s used. If someone makes the complaint of having been bullied, we need to know that the incident in question was more hurtful than having been called a doo-doo head.
I admit that I’m not as avid a watcher as most but as a casual watcher when he said “wrong words, right result” in the boardroom, I assumed that he was talking about the words he had said in the boardroom the previous week. He had some harsh things to say to Aubrey and about Aubrey and I took it that he was saying that he could have been more diplomatic the previous week.
Drat. I think I just bullied someone, then.
Having been on a low-budget reality show for a short time, I can only imagine the stress of something on this scale. After a few days, I was ready to blow my stack and call everyone every name in the book and I’m not famous or used to people never saying no to me. That’s why these people start to lose it toward the end of these shows. Cameras shoved in your face for weeks on end, PA’s in your face at moments of high stress egging you on to escalate drama… someone is bound to crack. Going on a rant doesn’t say “bully” to me- it’s a rant. And clearly “whore” wasn’t a calculated, literal commentary. So deliciously ironic to see Lisa, of all people, get her dander up over a few words not even directed at her.
My father has been HIV+ since the 80s. He will never die from it. He has only been sick from it once when a cold turned into bad pnemonia but he survived it. He is healthier than I am. Looks and feels great. He even stopped taking the meds for long periods of time because his doctor didn’t think he needed it! There is speculation that some people may contract HIV only to be carriers meaning they don’t get sick but will spread to others who may get sick. I remember reading an article about it. Who knows?! He has always had good medical treatment and insurance and he is well off but not super rich.
I learned in my Microbiology class that the HIV virus bears a lot of similarities to the Yersinia pestis bacterium (which causes the Black Plague) and people whose ancestors lived through Plague outbreaks are often highly resistant or even immune to the HIV virus.
NWMTV, so what else makes the headlines?
I will agree with you on the bullying thing…Arsenio went too damn far. I am very pleased he admitted his wrongdoing, and he MEANT it. I give props to Aubrey for coming back and actually talking it out, however Little Miss Sunshine said she was all good! Let’s start again! But then in private took it back, essentially. Sigh.
Clay has a very, very specific style of humor, and not everyone gets or appreciates it. That’s cool. But I didn’t see him being anything but courteous to Aubrey during tasks. The stripper pole remark, which somehow I missed, was in poor taste. You got me there. But he really is a good guy. They both are.
The one note wonder is gone! Hooray! Let’s have a song to sing him out of the competition. Ready? Naaaa na na nanananaaaaaa, nanananaaaaaa GOODBYE!
It’s kinda nice over here, don’t you think
?
Butterfly-I wrote a reply to you SEVERAL times but it keeps running away. Maybe Robinez bullied it. Carson Kressley looks better than Adam Corolla. Sorry I got the name wrong. He wasn’t around long. On the other hand, Adam Carolla is prettier than Lisa. That said, Paul is prettier than Lisa (but Lisa is prettier than Debby thought she was). And frankly, all of them are prettier than Aubrey. That shemale needs a pitchfork. The hair is already perfect. As for bullying , I ‘m sure she knows a lot about it. But she was the bully. She may have been called names. This isn’t the first time she’s been called a bitch or a whore. I disagree that she is very smart. She’s sly and unscrupulous. I can almost respect Lisa. She turned her anger and disappointment in the world into a career. Aubrey,-never heard of her before and pretty sure I never will again. Aubrey has been warned by more than one Trump family member that her tactics are divisive, have caused the team to be split, have caused her personally to receive unwelcome, negative attention, would have gotten her eliminated if she had been brought back to the
boardroom, insulted and mocked Theresa ,saying she had “taught her everything” and calling her a”muppet”. Well,Miss Piggy, can’t wait for next week. (OK-that’s who the Aubs reminds me of-so sue me.) And if she ever wants to discuss bullying and her horrible time in school-Awwwww- head of a Sorority. Really? Must have been dreadful. I’ll start with being beaten with a baseball bat in the eye in Kindergarten. Bullied kids are sensitive to others who are really bullied and antagonistic towards those who just use it to cry for sympathy.
I doubt that she was bothered by it. She knows she’s no prize in the looks department. On the Comedy Central Roast of Donald Trump, she said, “Donald Trump, you only f**k these beautiful young women, but if you didn’t have so much money, then you’d be f**king ME!”
I am not sure where “Maybe Robinez bullied it” came from.
I treated everyone that I replied to in this thread with respect. As did others. In my opinion this was one of the better discussions about a sensitive subject we have had in awhile. Actually about two sensitive subjects.
Hopefully this was a joke that went over my head.
Robin
Yo-Rob-in- supposed bullying is what caused itty bitty Aubrey to run away from the big mean 56 year old has-been black man (her words) and the wimpy gay guy who accused her of appeareg as a strpper out of her mama’s uterus. Honey-she did just shed her placenta. It’s a technicality-but oh so true. As for being a whore,I looked on Celebrity Apprentice on You Tube and under Aubrey was a series of 44 pictures . After watching less that half of them I came to the very clear conclusion she is indeed NOT a whore. No,certainly not. She is giving it away for free. I almost did a spit take a few weeks ago when she had the nerve to say to Donald Trump “It would break my heart to lose this challenge.” (Fake pouty lip tremble.-Ha!) And he answered ,”Then prepare to have your heart broken.” What astounds me is how many times and in how many ways she has been warned by the Trumps and she never changes her game. Isn’t that the definitition of insanity?
I just wanted to say “thank you” to all the flippin’ fabulous, generally polite, educated Gasmii in this thread that teach (and entertain). I learned a shitload about HIV, getting tested, bullying, etc. You guys are why I’ve gotten hooked on this site.
BTW, I still think Arsenio said “gun”, and not “gut”, because when I Googled her the first thing I saw was her with a gun, and her arms were on it rather like Arsenio mimed. But I’ve certainly been wrong before…
Dammit! That “go Gasmii go” post was supposed to be sent to the bottom. Sigh.
Goddamn you guys made a LOT of good points. I’m not sure quilmes where I stand now, but I’m definitely leaning to the “that wasn’t bullying” side. That cray-cray caught up to her, the ALWAYS oh so sweet kind caring smart motivated prepared instinctual loyal “people person” team player. Finally Got. Called. Out. Let us have a moment of silence.
Hmmm. I need to rewatch the show. Fell asleep during the last boardroom bit. can’t wait to see Lou get the boot(and his pathetic whining – that has got Tobermory sad to see.
(whisper…hey…hey ivanka…how’s the most beautiful and sophisticated vampire around. that’s right…you, love! how are you? let’s get the earth more populated with the insanely intelligent undead. here’s my neck. chow down! but…we gotta be r e a l quiet about it -thus the “whisper”, thx. Amy

Um, do I have any volunteers to come take my damn computer away from me AFTER I’VE TAKEN MY AMBIEN? For fuck’s sake I need to “just say no” to posting post pill
That was supposed to answer my question concerning what you meant by “Robinez bullied it” ? I rekon that went over head too. Perhaps I need to take a break…
By definition you can indeed bully someone only one time, and only by name-calling, if the result is that you get someone to do something they didn’t want to do, like fork over their lunch money or let you drive their car. There has to be intent behind the name-calling for it to be bullying behavior and not just insulting behavior. What you’re talking about is chronic or systemic bullying which is much more destructive and evil. I agree with you that the general confusing of the two things into just “bullying” is not a good thing.
“Then prepare to have your heart broken.” Haha!! I forgot about that.
Unfortunately, Trump was bullied by her tears and ended up donating to Aubrey’s charity anyway.
With that said, I love it when a bully goes on a PR campaign to rehabilitate their image. But sooner or later, they always show their true colors..
100th comment! We need a catchphrase..
Aubrey is a diabolical genius!
(Feel free to add your own..)
This should’ve posted at the bottom of the page.
That Indonesian hacker is a diabolical genius!
Sarcas, Is that who shuffles the comments so they make no sense? Well, not all comments do anyway, but…
