Ann gathers the gaggle of women to make sure they know she’s Head Bitch in Charge explain how things work because she’s the veteran and if “she”, oops, TORRANN makes YST, Ann will obviously be the den mother for that group. Bonnie doesn’t like it one bit (Bonnie won’t like a lot of things, I sense). Bonnie interviews that Ann tries to intimidate others. Ann admits she’s the chief.
Shortly after Ann’s informative speech, Bonnie says aloud that she has to get out of there. Amy snarks, “that’s good because I smelled something” and then curses at Bonnie. Classy, Ann. It takes a true bitch to make Bonnie look like nice.
For a change of scenery we go to the Dunlap’s home. Here is where we learn all about the Dunlaps, but since we went over it earlier, I won’t bore you with it again. House. Kids. Pool. Monkey. Perfection. Blech. Gag. Jealous.
Shannon is still not pushing Brooke. Brooke is a beautiful girl, but a little bigger than most gymnasts that we see. Shannon isn’t the embodiment of healthy living either, but I won’t go too far until either of them do something to prove they deserve some good, old-fashioned mockery. (Soon, baby birds… I’ll feed you.) Since Brooke is too old for YST, they are hoping that she will be able to move up from a Level 1 to Level 2.
Unfortunately, Brooke can’t do bridge up (we used to call them backbends) because her back is really hurting her. Mom Shannon says it might be mental and keeps telling Brooke to try. But then she interviews that Brooke’s back started hurting her really badly last year and that they have gone to lots of doctors, and don’t have any answers yet. (I see a huge hump on her back, just sayin’.) I would have considered NOT pushing all the bridge ups and encouraged the old scoliosis test of touching your toes, but not Shannon, she just gets irritated. She interviews that they will be taking Brooke to a spine specialist soon. This confuses me, because a year is a long time for a 13 year old to have severe back pain, and if you’ve been to lots of doctors, why hasn’t one of them been a spine specialist yet? I’m seeing Shannon taking Brooke to the dentist to see if the dentist has an advice on back pain.
Coach interviews that Cassidee, her eldest daughter, is a favorite to make YST, as well she should be. Cassidee is really good and fearless. However, she says Alana isn’t a sure thing because she can’t do back handspring; however, Coach is well-aware that Mom Bonnie is desperate for Alana to make it.
