Coach and RD talk about status of girls’ abilities for tryouts. Torrann is sociopathic-by-proxy. Cassidee is hurt. Olivia isn’t strong at flying (neither am I)… but RD seems level-headed and believes Olivia can learn. (Nice dimple.) Alana, meh. Who knows. (Somewhere at home, Bonnie feels a cool chill pass through her
body). RD said “we will pick a good team”. Coach snaps, “we”? It’s her team. RD says that he’ll help her oversee it. But really? we know that Coach will probably not allow that.
It’s the day of tryouts…
Coach says kids will be upset. Parents will be disappointed. It’s just not a fun day for her.
Cassidee is up and does a nice tumbling set… she does well, but says her finger hurts. It wasn’t perfect, but it was good.
Next we find out that Olivia is nervous. Mom Mandy says that will make her better and she’ll “rock it”. Olivia is a doll, but she looks scared to death. She does some nice tumbling but apparently didn’t do her hardest move and Coach isn’t pleased. Then it’s time for her cheer and Olivia sorta whispers her cheer and her motions are soft and marshmellowy, (it’s a word, don’t bother looking it up). She keeps wiping her nose, like all over her face… I’m assuming she has a cold (but it would be funnier if she had a drug habit).
Torrann is up and seems nervous. Coach interviews that her immaturity will hurt her and that it’s a matter of getting her to focus without getting on her nerves.
Torrann is great tumbler and she tells Coach and RD that she can pay attention and she won’t drop kids willy nilly. While Torrann is saying that she can do it, Mom Ann interviews that what the Coach is saying is simply going in one of Torrann’s ears and out the other. Great, so Torrann is not only lazy and sneaky, she’s also flakey. My fav.
It’s time for Brooke’s chance to move up to the lofty Level 2. Shannon is still pushing Brooke to talk to Coach about what she can bring to table, but says that it’s up to Brooke because Mom Shannon doesn’t push her, (as she glares down at her). I’m surprised by her reasonableness and then BAM… “so are you gonna do it? I think you should. I think you should…” (*poking her daughter*). She’s so not pushy.
Brooke just has such a sweet face and smile. She just wants to please. I think she even wants to be there. She’s just shy (or overshadowed). Coach asks about her back and Brooke says it’s good. She did a cheer and it was good. Since she can’t do running tumbling, she tells Coach can do standing tumbling.
