THIS MOM SCREAMS “CHEERLEADER”!
And we’re back in Sherwood, Arkansas. I am having NO LUCK finding Cheer Perfection online, so I have limited images available. If I can’t find the show online by next week, I will take to using my camera and taking pictures of the episode. I LOVE pictures, so this is painful to submit without them.
Back to school means back to cheerleading and Alisha is happy. She discusses the Youth Silver Team and its goals for the season. She calls a tiny black girl a “lost duck”.
Meh, this team blows.
Cambree, 6 and Cassadee, 11 are two of her daughters on the YST. Her husband, RD, is there to help corale at the kids and do what Alisha says. When the kids mess up they have to run laps. They did the worst basket tosses I’ve ever seen.
Mandy is the competitive mom. Ann is the overly involved mom. Bonnie is the drunk, loudmouth mom. (I don’t think her kid made it.) Shannon is the tattletale mom. Michelle is the strict mom. Andrea is the social mom.
Perfection is not an option.
Soberness is not an option.
Ann is the Team Mom. Word has it that she’s not very organized. She says the coaches give her daughter Torrann a hard time because she’s not focused and a pain in the ass. Ann says that Torrann is so good that Torrann can get away with it.
Andrea says that Ann is a hot mess.
I might be a hot mess, but I’m the Team Hot Mess.
Shannon says she’s the mom (of Brooke, 13) that the other moms come to when they have a problem. Brooke is on some other team too and is still has back problems. She’s still nailing those summersaults.
Summersaults aren’t easy.
Alisha finds out that one kid has dropped off the YST, so there’s an opening. (I can hear Bonnie cracking open the wine now.)
Yep, Bonnie finds Alisha and wants to talk to her, even though her daughter isn’t as talented. She reminds Alisha that Alisha said she’d take Alana on the YST if she could do a back handspring. Well, she’s getting close, but it’s not quite there yet (come on, kid… at some point you either can do it or can’t). Bonnie wants Alisha to let Alana learn the dance and then if she can do the handspring, she’ll be ready, and if she can’t, Bonnie will go get drunk(er). Alisha says that it sounds good. I think it sounds great.
Quick montage of Alisha’s daughter, Cassadee, kicking ass on the floor. Bonnie comes over to tell Shannon about what Alisha said. Shannon pretends like she doesn’t care, but she can’t call Ann fast enough. And Ann and Bonnie hate each other. But Shannon has no reason to be involved because her 13 year old can hardly sit indian-style.
