All My Children, 7/17/06, ABC

Sometimes a performance graces the screen that is so moving, so heartfelt, so emotional, and so powerful that it haunts your inner-most thoughts for days on end. This, my friends, is one of them. Enjoy this montage of actor Colin Egglesfield on All My Children stretching his formidable acting chops.

Okay, fine. I’m crying right now. But only because when he took that shovel and was pounding it into the ground it reminded me of when Dad took the shovel out back and put Lucky down.

So if that makes me a sissy, then fine! You can dance on my grave when I die. WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? THROW THIS DIRT ON MY GRAVE. TAKE OFF YOUR SHIRT, GRIT YOUR TEETH, AND THROW SOME DIRT AROUND!

I didn’t know if he was graverobbing or what. I wish instead he’d taken out the skeleton and done the cha-cha. WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! I’M RIGHT HERE, DON’T BLOW IT! DANCE, OLD MAN!

A little context : He is upset coz his father – a nutjob who incidently he discovered did a lot of horrible stuff including stealing him as a baby from his mother while she was aborting him – dont ask … Anyway his father has been buried alive by one of his victims in this park and died from it. Hence the digging and moaning.

Another piece of relavant information for this clip. Colin E.’s resume only included A&F Modeling before being hired by AMC.
    Just sayin’

Incidently I’d like to know how B-Side stumbled upon this clip. I mean this isnt good must-see daytime TV like … say … Passions.
Has B Side been religiously and secretly watching Susan Lucci everyday on AMC for years or has he just stumbled upon the male eye candy digging a grave while zapping channels and decided to … hum … watch the luscious pectorals ?
Anywhich way my Gaydar is going zingers right now.

Actually doriangz — the story is much less salacious than that. We keep TVs on all the time here at TVgasm. During the afternoon, the soaps are always playing. At one point, I looked up and saw this guy angrily beating the ground with his shovel, and so I thought, “Hmmm… that looks overdramatic and ridiculous. Clipgasm-worthy?” So I watched the scene, then laughed, then searched the rest of the episode for other monologue moments. Hence, the creation of this clip.

Well at least this guy can always get a job digging ditches or pouring cremated remains out of boxes.

(B-Side, between you and I, you should have let that one slide. I bet your detailed explanation makes you look even MORE gay to doriangz.)

It’s nice to see that this dude was able to overcome his obvious grief long enough to get his chest waxed and oiled. Nothing says “I’m in mourning” like a shorn pectoral.

And my compliments to Copygodd for his/her astute observation. B-side you’re getting groupies.

It’s a sad day when a man cannot post a video of a half-naked man digging up the desiccated corpse of the man who saved him from being aborted without people accusing said man of being gay. Said man being the man who posted said video, not the half-naked man, and surely not the man who saved the half-naked man from being aborted. My brain hurts. It’s also a sad day when I cannot follow soap storylines. So WHOSE ashes were those (if the abortion blocker was buried alive)? I’m glad I watch a quality, easy-to-follow program like DAYS OF OUR LIVES. Damn you, STEPHANOOOOOOOOO!

Wow, copygodd, thanks for solving that mystery! Now we know why B-Side had to hide behind the pixels lo these many months.

And, B-Side, you are in the TVGasm offices ALL DAY? Does this mean that you are now a FULL TIME BLOGGER??? Wow. That’s just incredible.

That was a great clip but nothing for the freaking MISSILE that hit some passenger train on Passions?? Their use of stock footage (it was practically in black and white!) and Luis weakly screaming his son’s name (one of the passengers) was just hilarious! Oh well, nice work B-Side. Can’t catch them all. :)

Yeah. This is the thread that finally drove me to log in.

The abortion blocker guy was buried alive and tortured to try to find out where he stashed another baby he stole. Until, that is, an earthquake hit Pine Valley, PA and collapsed his coffin and killed him, while simultaneously forcing his coffin to the surface so he could be found. Then his abortion-blocked son had him cremated. See? It’s all very simple.

he was trying really hard to channel tom cruise, accent and all.

i was expecting him to our the ashes all over his sweaty body, and then he and his girlfriend embrace and roll around in the freshly dug grave.

I really like when soap actors use their teeth in their dramatic scenes. I hear Mr. Ed did that too.

Gotta agree with the desperate plea for a Passions train exposion Clipgasm. I’m about 90% sure they were using a cardboard box as a special effect for a plane.

Great clip B-Side! I had to watch it twice, once to watch and once to listen. That well-muscled body distracted me a bit. :O

various posters: Thanks for the back story, typical soap opera stuff: Earthquake, kidnapping, thwarted abortions (OK that might not be common), buried alive.

nickwalsh (#30): I agree – that’s a lot of ashes. Perhaps he was a large man!
