   Was Clay trying to disguise himself? His face looks very shiny and pulled, like he got a lot of chemical peels. His hair was very Ashlee Simpson, first CD.

   That is one of the most awesome things I have ever seen! I stopped watching this show this season, but man, looks like I really missed out. That guy looks like he was about to faint….and Seacrest, making him sit down. Super TV!!!

   I think my favorite part is when he thinks the crowd is cheering for him before he realzes Clay Aiken is standing behind him.

    I agree with umnata… it’s leave-the-room-tastic. I don’t know what’s more horrifying: Clay’s “look” (eww! Ick!), creepy fakeClay, or Ryan putting the kid in the chair. I have to go cauterize my eyeballs now.

    Am I the only person in the world who still loves Clay? I’ve always loved him and I’ve never, ever thought of him as being gay – the thought didn’t even cross my mind until I read in a magazine how there’s all this controversy. I love Aiken, even though his new hair reminds me a bit of the Beatles – I don’t think that it’s too bad, just maybe a bit shorter. I think he needs to go back to his signature red though.

    Okay, I’ve babbled enough. But seriously, I am the only Claymate left?

    i actually think clay looks kinda cute in his new ‘do.
    it would probably do his career a lot of good if he would just come out already.
    .. and to katiehole : the marine says that clay was the “top” so your little joke’s a little lame.

    I have watched this clip so many times now. I can’t help but bust a gut laughing and then sit back in awe. By the by, why isn’t it in Ruben’s contract that he has to reappear on the show each year? Just out of morbid curiosity.

    I do see the Pee Wee Herman + Beatles resemblance, but I thought Clay looked pretty good. Out of all the singers from all the seasons, he’s still one of my favorites.
