Big Brother All Stars, 8/31/06, CBS
It was inevitable that last night’s live episode of Big Brother featuring two live votes, two exit interviews, one HOH competition, one nomination ceremony, one veto competition, and one veto ceremony would hit a snag or two along the way, especially with the Chenbot in charge. Surprisingly, everything seemed to go just fine — that is, until the 45 minute mark when everything pretty much fell apart thanks to this long, awkward moment which started with a Julie Chen joke and ended with… silence. As a result, we got to watch the puzzled house guests attempt to figure out what was going on until finally CBS abruptly and awkwardly cut to commercial. Classic Big Brother.

You know, I never watched Big Brother before, but I have watched a bit of the All Stars (just so I can be a good TVgasmer) and now I see what you all have been talking about when you refer to the Chenbot and her malfunctions. That moment last night was truly awkward! I wonder if the Chenbot was stuck in DO loop during all the silence until someone managed to fix her code.
