Clipgasm: Music To My Ears Edition

Clipgasm

By B-Side | | 4:09 pm | 39 Comments

On last week’s episode of Prison Break, I couldn’t help noticing a long, random montage set to the theme music from House M.D.. Apparently some lazy music coordinator pulled the wrong track from the Fox music library. I would post this bizarre sequence, but due to random technical difficulties, I can’t. Nevertheless, it got me thinking. What would happen if TV shows played the theme songs from other TV shows in the middle of an episode? The results are surprisingly entertaining.

I fell off my chair and started crying.

It was a sad, sad moment for me.

It’s not just the “House theme song”, it’s Teardrop by Massive Attack, and it was an amazing song way before they ever used it on House.

I am sad, because when I try to play the clip, it only goes halfway and then stops. I get the Golden Girls, but no Chipmunks. :(

It is my contention that every show would be better served with a random playing of the theme from “The Benny Hill Show.”

That and a small, slight old bald man running around in boxer shorts and those weird socks-and-suspenders combo, being slapped on the head.

Or a buxom nurse. Take your pick.

Um, hate to burst your bubble, but Prison Break used a Massive Attack song. And I’ve never seen House but I’m guessing they just use the same one. I’m also guessing the production staff on Prison Break doesn’t watch too many other Fox shows. That being said… Great Clip

“It is my contention that every show would be better served with a random playing of the theme from “The Benny Hill Show.”"

    That would rule!

Btw, I think this one is right up there, but slightly secondary to the legendary Julie Chen ‘But First…’ montage. ;)

WOw, that was freaking funny! Not a good thing to watch when you have bronchitis, but still hilarious. We should post more here, like a whole montage with old sitcoms like The Apprentice-(Who’s the Boss) or LOST (Gilligan’s Island)
