A Chanukah Celebration, KVCR, 12/19/06

Earlier, we posted a Chanukah greeting from Fran Drescher as part of her seminal holiday special, A Chanukah Celebration. Well, now she’s back to introduce us to the most exciting segment of her show, the adventures of “Mitzvah Mouse.” To be fair, this clip isn’t very Fran-centric, but it does feature a Jewess puppet with a brown perm à la Barbara Streisand in the ’80s. Dammit if those puppets don’t sing a mean (yet inspiring) ode to Chanukah.

oh my goodness, nothing gets me in the chanukah mood like Dark Crystal casting rejects! that song is amazing. Grandpa has a striking resemblance to Ugly Betty’s dad!

I hate to break it to you, but these Fran clips really aren’t that funny. They’re just kind of sad.

I think Fran would have done fabulously had she entered the Spokesmodel contest of Star Search.

The grandmother looks like Joy Behar, from “The View”.

Pesach! Now THAT’s a holiday! LOL!
