All My Children, 9/5/06, ABC

A few weeks ago, we showed you a series of monologues by chronically shirtless All My Children star Colin Egglesfield. Well, today, he gave another tour de force that simply had to be shared. I don’t know the context of the scene, but it appears as though his character has climbed into a coffin and now has some mild regrets. Let the emotion take you away…

Did he have to have the coffin lid nailed shut for whatever he was doing?

once again, the clipgasm has made my day. who watches this show? we need you to provide details please!?!?

I love how he’s like ‘there’s no air in here!’ as a ray of light through the obviously non-airtight coffin shines on his face.

I was under the impression that when you run out of air, you just get sort of quiet and sleepy, and then you fade away. Thanks for setting me straight!

I am ashamed that I know what’s going on but…
His (fake) dad – it’s a VERY long story – was buried in a wooden coffin by someone trying to get information out of him. There was an earthquake and his fakedad died.
This character wanted to experience what his fakedad felt in his last minutes of his life and had his friend/love interest nail him into a wooden coffin
when I was watching today I noticed the whole “sunlight shining through the wooden slats” thing…but AMC isn’t really known for its scientific accuracy

I’m dreading our next clipgasm, in which the cute couple might be making out in the back of a hearse. Did the poor boy’s fake-dad leave him penniless and unable to BUY A SHIRT? Whatever will he do when winter comes?

When the clip first opened, for about the first five seconds, I thought this was maybe a Big Brother clip from inside Howie and Boogie’s jack-shack. Only with a semi-attractive guy inside this time.

Tip: If you stop screaming and lie still, the air inside the coffin will last longer.

Oh my GOD. This had me laughing and snorting out loud alone in my living room, and I watch Days every day, in addition to recapping Passions! I guess I need to switch networks. Thanks B-Side.

I saved another Colin Egglesfield monologue a few weeks ago but never got around to posting it. Maybe I’ll post it this week if there’s nothing of note.

I also saw a preview for the next Passions includes a gripping toaster-in-the-shower incident. Maybe it’ll just be the week of Soap Clipgasms.

“A few weeks ago”? My, how time flies! Does the poor man not own a single shirt?

Now what we really need is a clipgasm of poor poor Mike Boogie’s reaction to last night’s eviction.

Methinks he likely feels as trapped as our dear friend Colin. Sucker.

On Passions, it’s actually a hair-dryer tossed into a shower. Man that show is great.

In an interview with Kelly Ripa, she mentioned that when she was on AMC they hired an acting coach to work with her. I think they should have kept that person on retainer. He/she is desperately needed. I can’t believe I used to watch these shows!

For a minute there I thought he was barrowing Mike Booger’s jackshack. Ew!
