Usually, The Real World gives us lots of fake boobies in hot tubs. This year, they tried to do things a little differently. Sure, we got our fake boobies, but instead of floating in the hot tub every single day they were scrunched into prom dresses behind a secretary’s desk (Devyn). We even had boobies brought to us by hormone pills (Katelynn/Rick) and lots of working out (Scott).

Another twist this season was in the romance department. There was love, but not the usual “we’re on a show so let’s try not not make this serious” screw and bail. This time, it was between a Mormon with extremely bad hair and bow ties and a young Army boy who writes songs about tampons. As the Real World comes to a close this week, we’d like to take a little time to pay tribute to one of the gayest straight couples to grace our TVs since Miami Vice.

    I absolutely loved this season. It was so refreshing to get away from all the drinking and sex from the past to what The Real World was when it first aired. I know that boozing and sex are what some like to see, but not all of us. Ryan and Chet were hilarious and kept me laughing all season.
