Contest: Shrek The Third On DVD Tomorrow!

Whenever I get these DVDs for giveaway for you guys, there is generally a quid pro quo with the PR firm handling the release. In short, “we’ll give you some free dvds for your readers, if you will shill it on your site.” Usually I pick the DVDs that I am excited about, or that I think you guys will like to get free copies of. This is one of those cases. I’m not completely sure how Im supposed to set up the hype for Shrek The Third coming to DVD tomorrow. It’s not like a movie you didn’t all see in the theatre, and its certainly not something you’ve never heard of. . .

I guess Ill pimp out the DVD bonus features? That should do the trick nicely. I mean afterall, the press release people took time to come up with such fun phrases as “Orge-Sized Bonus Features” and “Shrek-tacular Prizes” I’d be a dick to not mention them. —wow, I just scrolled down the press release and found even more….”OGRE-WHELMINGG MARKETING/PROMOTIONAL SUPPORT.” These guys put more puns that you can shake a baby at.

This Thanksgiving, DreamWorks Animation’s giant ogre flies in from Far Far Away and takes over Manhattan as Shrek® makes his grand debut, flying high in the 81st Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade® on Thursday, November 22nd. Beginning at 9:00 a.m. ET, fans can watch as Shrek flies down the streets of New York City for the first time, delighting over 3.5 million spectators and more than 50 million television viewers nationwide. Shrek marks the start of the holiday season at the Parade and serves as Macy’s Official 2007 Holiday Ambassador.
