   Wait, so it won’t be the B-Side/J-Unit (dream) tag team recapping the Jack Bauer Power Hour this year?? I’m all for new talent, but … wow, it’s like the end of an era…

   This is too sad. J-Unit won’t be covering ANTM?

   And who in their right mind would dare try and fill the mighty mighty shoes of Ed Hill? (you know what they say about guys with big shoes don’t you? Big feet.)

   I’m going to cry! There is no way I will be able to enjoy “24″ as much without recaps by J-Unit and B-Side. Their “24″ recaps are what brought me to TVgasm in the first place. I’m hoping this plan to find new writers for my favorite show goes the way of the New Coke. (And I am bummed about “Survivor” and “ANTM” too.)

   OMG! J-Unit you can NOT give up ANTM! No one will ever love Tyra like you do.

   I don’t even watch survivor, but I read B-Side’s always hilarious recaps. What will happen next, no Real World recaps?

   The tvgasm world as we know it is coming to an end. I appreciate the heart of the new writers but NONE of them are even close to the J-Unit/B-Side/Ed-Hill levels of hilarity!!!!

    I’m not happy at all about B-Side leaving Survivor, but maybe I’ll give it a shot. What are you looking for, submission-wise? A recap of the past season? 100 reasons why I hate Adam?

    I don’t give a flying fuck about any of those shows, but someone HAS to recap Dirt — it was deliciously nasty and trashy with great dialogue and some seriously good acting from La Cox as well as from former ‘Lennon’ Brit actor Ian Hart. (Also the series is beautifully photgraphed.)

    Worth checking out and *defintitely* worth a recap.

    This is probably an obvious question that everyone but me already knows the answer to, but do any of these recappers get, uh, paid for their recurring and timely snark?!

    Don’t y’all worry. There’ll still be plenty of J-Unit/B-Side recapping. We just need a little help because our workload is getting a tad severe, especially with Idol entering the picture.

    Dude, what kind of submissions are you looking for? Like, for Survivor, do you want a recap of the entire Cook Islands season, or the last episode, or my favorite episode, or my least favorite Jonathan moments, or my top ten favorite Nate-isms? I need some answers before I start writing, yo. I want to soar like an eagle, but I’m stuck down here with a bunch of turkeys.

    Then – OU loses the Fiesta Bowl.

    And now –
    J-Unit won’t be recapping ANTM and B-Side won’t be recapping Survivor.

    How many signs are there for the Apocalypse?

    (very said fairy-off to weep herself to sleep)

    Let me go on the record – if you guys stop recapping BB next summer I am OUTTA here.

    T-Bag has some good questions… although I don’t understand a lot of what he’s writing because I don’t watch Survivor.
    Anywho, for the shows that are on hiatus right now, do aspiring recappers wait until new episodes start again? Recap old episodes? Make top 10 lists? For the love of god, let T-Bag soar!

    The best bet is to write a recap of an old episode. If you can’t get your hands on one of those, recap another show that’s similarly themed/structured. And if that’s too complicated, then any sort of think-piece, I guess. No top ten lists though.

    The key is to see if someone can be funny, opinionated, and involving as a writer. Plus, and this is key, as the recap goes on, many writers become discouraged by the task at hand and simply wind up turning their recaps into boring plot summaries. Hence, it’s key to read a sample recap, and not a list.
