CONTEST: EXTREME MAKEOVER: TVGASM EDITION

A few weeks back I mentioned in the forums that I think it’s time for change. Specifically what I said was, “I think its high time TVgasm undergoes a make over. I think we can all agree the main page is a bit cluttered. Maybe all over the place. Ads are at times imposing and not well integrated into the site and there is so much content on the site, its become a little hard to navigate.”

At the time I suggested a contest for you guys to come up with a new design for the site. I delayed announcing it fully until I had a killer prize. Im still working on that, but I dont want to delay. So fuck it. Even though the prize is TBD (it wont suck, I promise) I thought I’d open it up to you guys now.

We’ve been working on looks and layouts and the one phrase that keeps coming up is “but will they like it??” and out of that spawned this idea. . . the ultimate contest . . . we are opening up the new designing of TVgasm to you guys. Send us PDFs, HTML examples, photoshops, jpgs, pen ink on napkins with your idea and layouts over the summer. In August/Sept we will pick the top 5 and have you guys vote on which one you like best, then use Oct, Nov, Dec to actually rebuild TVgasm based on the winning designers design. Hopefully Jan 1 we will announce the winner by just changing over the site.

There are soo many things Id love to see happen in terms of organization of the site but anything we change, we change for you and it just seems to make the most sense to have you determine the esthetic and functional fate of TVgasm.com.

If you have no artistic skills, but have ideas or features you’d like to see that we don’t have, things you don’t want to lose, things you do want to keep. .. .let us know that too!
