tvgasm_oneyearAs I mentioned earlier this week, TVgasm is going to be turning a year old May 11th. We were trying to figure out what we could do to celebrate. There were talks of Vegas, or perhaps the more pedestrian vodka and hookers. In the end, we decided that we wanted to find some way to involve our readers. You know we love to have contests where we give away free stuff, and this is no exception. Everybody gets a chance to play, and there are five chances to win.

Read about the contests and the rules after the jump:

UPDATED: Two new categories have been added.

Miss TVgasm 2005

While we wanted to have a pageant for Miss TVgasm, the budget just didn’t cut it this year. We will, however, be taking reader submissions from all the women and young ladies who feel like they deserve the prize. All we ask from you is a photograph, and small statement on the importance of being Miss TVgasm. The photos must be of you, and can be whatever you like, whether it be head shot, evening gown, bathing suit, or halloween costume. You may submit more than one and please keep the pictures PG-13. Sorry, that “I *heart* B-side” tattoo on your left cheek will just have to stay hidden a little longer. I am not a lawyer, but just to be safe, you must be18 or over to enter. Send your submissions to anniversary@tvgasm.com.

Mr. TVgasm 2005

Mr. TVgasm will be a like the Miss TVgasm contest, except it is geared towards our gentleman readers. Same rules apply. Submit a photograph and a statement on the importance of the Mr. TVgasm title. Same rules apply for the photos as well. Send your submissions to anniversary@tvgasm.com.

TVgasm Couple 2005

Do you love TVgasm and enjoy television with your significant other? I added this category after seeing a most excellent submission this morning from a reader. Same rules apply as the Miss TVgasm and Mr TVgasm submissions. Send your submissions to anniversary@tvgasm.com

Most Outstanding TVgasm

Have you ever had a TVgasm? When was your first TVgasm? Where did it happen? Who was around? What TVgasm article were you reading at the time? Do you constantly experience yourself dreaming about B-side, madeyoulaugh, or J-Unit? Is there a funny moment when you were caught by your boss, husband, wife, etc,. laughing so hard and you just couldn’t explain it?The Most Outstanding TVgasm award goes to the person with the best TVgasm story. This can be a true story, but if you are creative, feel free to embellish a little(or a lot). ONE SUBMISSION PER PERSON/E-MAIL ADDRESS. Send your submissions to anniversary@tvgasm.com.

Most Outstanding Display of TVgasm Love

Maybe you aren’t as hot as B-side or S-lo, or as funny with the pen as madeyoulaugh. We still have a contest for you, oh sullen TVgasm reader. Do you love TVgasm so much that you just have to tell everybody about it? Do you have a shrine in your living room? Have you printed out all of the articles and kept them in a book just in case your internet goes out? Did you erect a billboard in your hometown to let everybody know how awesome TVgasm is? Maybe you tattooed TVgasm.com in three inch gothic letters on your back? This is your chance to show just how much you love TVgasm. Bonus for extra creativity in this category. Send your submissions to anniversary@tvgasm.com.

Create a TVgasm Banner

You obviously have seen the banners that we have at the top of TVgasm. You may have also noticed that we have started rotating the banners on the front page. Now is your chance to create your own TVgasm banner. We will add it to the rotation, and if you submit a custom banner for a show that doesn’t have on already (like Lost, Desperate Housewives, Sports, American Idol) we may even put it at the top of that category page. To see all the shows we write about, check the archives, but feel free to create any banner you want. It only has to relate to TV. All submissions become property of TVgasm.com and we reserve the right to use them on any page, although we will credit your art if your submission is chosen. Send your submissions to anniversary@tvgasm.com.

Who are those masked men and women?

We try to stay anonymous, and since we work in the industry, we must continue to do so. We have those South Park characters, but maybe you can do something better. Do you have a sketch, painting, notebook doodle, statue, or macaroni model that depictus one or more of the TVgasm staff? Whatever your artistic skill, send them in. We will feature your work our Team page. Send your submissions to anniversary@tvgasm.com.

We will be taking reader submissions for all categories through April 30th. The TVgasm editors will choose a set of finalists, and the readers will vote for the winner. Voting begins on May 4th, and the winners will be announced on May 11th. All winners receive their choice of one item from the TVgasm store. As always, TVgasm will not share your name, e-mail address, or any personal information with anybody. If you want to keep your submission anonymous by using an alias, that is OK. Once again, send your submissions to anniversary@tvgasm.com.

(By popular demand, I will allow comments on this article over the weekend, but it will move to forums only Monday)Comments will be closed on this article, but you can continue discussions in the One Year Anniversary Forum Thread. It will be easier for us to answer your questions about individual contests there. The forums is also the place where we will likely hold the voting, and you must be a member to vote or post (although we may change that in the future). We also don’t share any registration information from the forums, and TVgasm never sends unsolicited e-mail.

Good luck, and we hope you enjoy TVgasm!

    Test,

Since you figured out how to write a comment you deserve something, but since you failed reading comprehension(i.e. the part where I said I turned comments on for the weekend), you will be penalized.

Had no idea there was a BBC version of The Apprentice. Is this what the NBC version is based off of?

British, I’m surprised. You should know that there’s almost always an original, UK show that the Yanks–ie, NBC or ABC–appropriate.

Any-hoo, Hapy B-day J-Unit and B-Side! Let’s go with the vodka and hookers!
