Now, here’s my take on it. Yes, the group is acting immaturely and basically threw a party when they left. But the other part of me says, can you BLAME THEM? Every day they were subjected to the antics of this couple who weren’t taking therapy, or life, seriously! On top of that they were supposed to engage in therapy sessions with a 17 year old girl who behaved like a wannabe porn star auditioning for a role. I find it hypocritical for Dr. J to be so self-righteous about their behavior.
She’s really mad at them and goes at them one by one: Alex for shoving dollar bills in Courtney’s “clothes,” Shayne who tore down the mural (and sounds like a 13 year old trying to defend herself) and Nik for wearing the Dourtney is Dead t shirt. As I said, not even clever.
Also, anyone else notice how Jojo makes the same face? I could use one picture of him in every recap and you would never know the difference.
But I can only imagine the immsense RELIEF they felt not having the distraction of those two assholes parading around everyday with his hystrionics and her bare-ass and vagina EVERYWHERE. It had to be exhausting. Cut them a break Dr. J.
Dr. J storms out of the house in a huff, and says they’ll “process” it in group session tomorrow. Which means she gets to yell at them more. Boo!
Alex and Simon have a conversation outside where Alex admits that the Dr. had a point, however, she feels that nobody has acknowledged how crazy it was they were expected to deal with those two and that its their fault (the group’s fault) that it didnt work – even though their (the group’s) issues were ignored. Good point Alex.
Okay so you know how this show should be a total joke and that we should not expect any growth or meaningful developments? Well, Nik proves us wrong by 1) admitting he got the group to gang up on Courtney/Doug in the first place and 2) equating that situation to his website The Dirty.
I am floored people. He really did a lot of thinking and actually feels bad. Damn.
Dr. J then starts off on her therapy-speak with how Dourtney brought “gifts” into the house (herpes?). Tiny speaks up about Courtney’s inappropriate behavior, and she’s very nice about it – but you know what she wanted to say, “That bitch is lucky I didn’t knock her out!”
Again, Dr. J thera-speaks about how she wanted the group to “model” it for her – but see, they all covered their vaginas and didn’t flirt with someone else’s husband, so your point is moot Dr. J.
Alex becomes my hero this episode (everyone seems to take a turn), and unleashes on Dr. J. and it’s splendid. Alex asks Dr. J: “Do you know how hard it was to deal with the constant “fuck you” from her in this house” and I crack up. Because yes, everything Courtney did was an “eff you.”
