Those former Seinfeld guys really know how to make hay out of uncomfortable situations, don’t they? First, Jerry found a way to wedge Michael Richards’ racist onstage rant into publicity for the Seinfeld Season Seven DVD collection (proving there’s no such thing as bad publicity– sales are up 75 percent over season six and 90 percent over season five)…

…And now Seinfeld creator Larry David will mine comic gold from the racial uproar in the next season of Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Season six of the HBO series will run a storyline in which a black family moves into Larry’s home after a Hurricane Katrina-type natural disaster.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Viveca A. Fox has signed on to play one of the Davids’ houseguests. Now we’ve got to figure this was in the works long before Richards was caught in the act, but you’ve got to admit it: in comedy, timing is everything. And Larry David has timing.

What’s next? The New Adventures of Old Krayzee-Eyez Killa? Not a bad idea.
