Mario Lopez dances to a TV deal

Mario Lopez may have gotten robbed on Dancing with The Stars, but at least he walked away with his dance partner, and now he’s gotten a TV deal for his trouble.

The contract’s with the CW, but remember, Mario started out on Saved By The Bell.Dimply Mario’s signed to a “talent holding deal” with the network, which means that CW will either develop a new series around him, or cast him in one of its pilots for the 2007-2008 season.

Dancing has proven to be good re-launching pad. Last year, twinkle-toed John O’Hurley went on to a starring role in Chicago on Broadway, and then a hosting job on Family Feud.

And while we’re on the subject, we were certain that his performance on Skating with Celebrities would have gotten Dave Coulier back into the game with his own sitcom.

With Full House costars Bob Saget on 1 vs. 100 and John Stamos reviving ER, signing Dave would make it a hat trick.
