She’s Never Gonna Dance Again…

Dancing w/ The Stars

No mas!

We wanted Sara Evans out of Dancing with the Stars, but not like this. The country singer, who’s sizzled up the dance floor with her untraditionally slow samba and clumsy paso doble, has hoofed her way off the show, citing “personal reasons.” Specifically, on Thursday, she filed for divorce from her husband of thirteen years. Downer. Kind of like a metaphorical banana on the emotional dancefloor. Marital problems might explain why Sara’s never been able to truly let loose on the show. Then again, did the marital problems cause the bad dancing — or did the bad dancing cause the marital problems? A quandary for the ages.

As I’ve alluded to in my recaps, I haven’t been the biggest fan of Sara, but at the same time, she seems like a very nice woman. I hope she and her family manage to get through these tough times. That being said, the big question is what next for the show? Will she be replaced? How? When? Where? Why? Who? What? For now, ABC is keeping quiet, insisting that we tune in on Tuesday for answers. Maybe Lisa Rinna will sub in. Or maybe there’ll be some funky Project Runway-type scheme where a previous flunkee will be allowed back in if he or she can prove his or her worth. Let the contemplation begin!

As other shows have done in the past I bet the will let Willa stay becauase she was ousted this week and Sarah left this week. They have done that before on reality shows wear if one person leaves due to injury or personal reasons the lasy person ousted just stays. Who knows? Why now? If she filed papers Thursday she knew she was getting divorved before that?

Maybe this explains the dark circles under her eyes the past couple of weeks, and her generally haggard appearance. What a shame. I hope they bring Willa back — she was never a favorite of mine, but she clearly improved each week and really deserved to stay.

well turns out friday the 13th is our lucky day after all- I was wondering if there was any chance for the rest of the satrs that can actually dance to stay on the show with all of contry music loving america voting for her—of course her family problems are sad, and she is a great singer and lovely woman, but I can’t say I ‘m going to miss seeing her dance, or shuffle a few beats behind the music.

I guess lonely feet have as much rhythm as guilty feet these days.

Yea! Not that she’s getting a D-I-V-O-R-C-E and going through family matters and all, but because now maybe someone who actually can dance (or entertain us–Jerry, anyone?)can continue to do so. I mean Sarah’s cute as a button and all and, yes, she can sing, but MAAAAAANNNNN she can’t dance worth a lick.

    Some jokes just write themselves…

Sara Evans has been a strong supporter of the Republican Party and represents good American values in the media. From singing at the 2004 Republican Convention to appearing with candidates in the last several election cycles, we have always been able to count on Sara for her support of the things we all believe in. ¦ One of her opponents on the show is ultra liberal talk show host Jerry Springer. We need to send a message to Hollywood and the media that smut has no place on television by supporting good people like Sara Evans.

Put all this into lyrics, set it to twangy music and you’ve got the makings of a Country/Western Mega Hit.
