MovierentalsNewbie in the house. I’m kronus, a friend of Saul’s and I’ll be helping him out with some of the backend code of the website. Saul has read my postings in the forums and suggested that I begin logging a weekly DVD review. So, I am re-posting both reviews thus far and I will post a new one for this week on Monday.

While I may hardly ever watch TV, I watch movies all the time. If I could find a way to get paid for it, then I’d be in Heaven.

So, here are my two cents — I found “The Night Listener” and “The Holiday” to be pretty good – DVD rentals. All things considered, I expected them not to live up to the star billing, but I found that I enjoyed both of them. “The Holiday” had some slow parts to it — out of rhythm (can you believe that I had to look up the spelling — I can never spell that word correctly) with the rest of the movie. Kind of like my commentary here

“The Night Listener” had a perfect methodical rhythm (can you believe that I misspelled it again, but I looked at previous spelling to catch myself — how could I have at one point made an A in Calculus (no problem with Calculus) and I can’t spell rhythm). Anyways, it has a perfect methodical rhythm, which I feel a suspense drama (is there such a category) should have.

I have come to not expect much from Robin Williams, whom I used to think would become a GREAT actor, but he surprised me with his role. Granted the part he played did not have a great range for him to stretch himself or his abilities, but that’s what I enjoyed about it. He stayed within the role.

Anyways, I’m obviously stupid.

Just getting started
