bingo.jpgABC is about to turn the entire nation into a retirement home. They’re going to dedicate six hours of prime time television to bingo. Bingo.

National Bingo Night will debut May 19th. While a contestant plays in-studio, viewers at home can print out bingo cards at ABC.com, play along and go back online to redeem prizes.

Everybody’s all excited about interactivity and this is what they come up with.

Bingo. Ed Sanders from Extreme Makeover: Home Edition will host. They promise it won’t be “Grandma’s Bingo,” but full of flashing lights and noises. Right. It’s still Grandma’s bingo.

This is the stupidest thing we’ve heard in a long time. But not much more stupid than Deal Or No Deal. But we’ll be watching. And playing.
