Sorry, John O’Hurley. Too bad, Mark Steines. Nice try, Rosie. No way, Snoop Dogg. The rumour of the day is that Drew Carey is the new top choice to replace Bob Barker as host of The Price Is Right.

But they’re not going to simply hand him the phallic Barker microphone. Tried-and-true Drew will have do an audition, and the weenies will wait to see the ratings of his new prome time CBS game show, Power of 10.On Power of 10, contestant compete for $10 million by guessing how the American public responded to poll questions. The hour-long show premieres Tuesday, August 7th at 8 pm, then moves the next night to its regular Wednesday at 8 slot. The show’s logo looks like those “Now That’s What I Call Music” CD covers

(FUN FACTS: Drew Carey is a devoted soccer fan and can sometimes be seen on the sidelines of U.S. National Team soccer games as a press photographer. His photoss are sold via wire services under the pseudonym Brooks Parkenridge. He’s also an LA Galaxy season ticketholder, which means he’s one of the few Americans who gives a s— about David Beckham. He also got laser surgery on his eyes and doesn’t need to wear those black rimmed glasses any more.)
