Rest easy. Syndicated stalwarts Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! have been renewed through 2012. Meaning that the Pat-Vanna-Alex trinity will spare millions the ordeal of watching the Mary Hart-Pat O’Brien-and-young-interchangeable-twinkies quartet in the unholy teaming of Entertainment Tonight and The Insider.vannaspeaks.jpgWhen the latest deal ends at the end of the 2011-2012 season, Wheel will have racked up 29 seasons and Jeopardy! a mere 28.

And what? You still haven’t read Vanna White’s autobiography? Get crackin’!

(Fun Fact: Wheel & Jeopardy! producer Merv Griffin hired Vanna because he was struck by the size of her head when comparing glossy photos of prospective hostesses. “She has a big head,” said Merv. “But then all of the big stars have big heads: Joan Crawford, Marilyn Monroe.
