A Grey’s Anatomy character is going to die

A major Grey’s Anatomy is going to die.

The character will die before the end of the three-part arc that began with last week’s “Walk On Water” episode.

The character will be “someone huge, someone important, someone you think they’d never kill off–the one thing you’d think they’d never do!”

The death will be “for good.”

You, as a viewer and fan, “will die when you see what happens.”That’s the word from Kristin Veitch over at E!, who is posting with great authority on the subject. Her word has led to lots of speculation the victim will be the show’s title character, Dr. Meredith Grey (she fell into the water at the end of last week’s cliffhanger)– and wouldn’t that be a bummer for Ellen Pompeo, to have a show named after her character and then get bumped off– “for good”?

But the oddsmakers can get busy. We all know about Isaiah Washington’s troubles since he called TR Knight a “faggot” on the set and repeated the word in front of cameras the night of the Golden Globes. Sentenced to gay rehab in a bid to save his job, ABC’s Disney overlords have made it clear he could be cut loose at any time. And the target of his slur, co-star TR Knight, has let it leak that he wants off the series– now that his Hollywood status elevated to cult star after he announced his homosexuality and tattled on Washington on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

So what are the odds?

Although Washington is hanging on by a thread, I can’t see the writers taking him out, but only because of his prominent storyline with Christina and their engagement. Same goes for the George/Callie marriage. The rest are fair game, I suppose, but I can’t help feeling like Izzie’s become disposable– her storyline with Denny has played out and in the arc, she’s still in the field so there’s the possibility she gets wiped out by a falling car or something. (Eric, Addison, Alex are relatively safe in the hospital).

Killing off a major character – hmmmm – this reeks of the OC jumping the shark, so to speak. I’m not sure why a show as popular as Grey’s would take such a big risk, especially if it is Meredith that goes. I do agree that Izzy is a)dispensible and b)annoying, though. I would be ok if it were her …

Oh please people, they’re not killing off Meredith. It could be just about anyone else, though. Most likely suspects: Burke, Izzie or Sloan. Meredith and Christina are the heart of the show, and thus untouchable.

Wow, I must be the only one who likes Izzie.

I would hate to see them kill off Burke, but maybe it work as a plot device give Cristina some heart.

I’d be royally pissed if it were Addison, Izzie, the Chief, Alex or Derek. Midly pissed if it were Meredith. The rest I could care less…

Oh please. Kristin V. is more a tease than anything else. I’ve learned long ago to read her columns with a grain of salt. Yes, there will be a death but she likes to hype things up in all her “scoops” (a lot of which she gets from press releases or from the ‘net.)
She also went on to say that there will be 2 deaths–one of which is permanent.. If you ask me, it will be a flatline for a brief moment for one of the characters and then one of the accident victims is the one that actually dies. I can see them having Meredith flatline before bringing her back to life.

You’re not the only Izzy fan, susanarosa! I am however over her moping ass this season.

I am thinking Izzy’s pinned under the car patient is who is going to die – with the Meredith flatline/bring back to life story supposed above.

I hope Meredith drowns. The show can still be called Grey’s Anatomy, I mean who really cares?

Meredith is whiny and boring. I abhor her and McDreamy together. She’s the worst thing about the show, I say dump her.

Having said that, I dare not dream. I know better. I concur with those who say Kristin doesn’t know what she’s talking about.

GrAy’s Anatomy is a medical book, so they could get away with still calling it GrEy’s Anatomy. I am guessing George dies. Why? I don’t know. Or McSteamy.

It’s a medical book, and Grey is ALSO the very alive Ellis’s last name. OMG!

Wait, “The OC” jumped the shark with Marissa’s death? Last time I checked, this past season of “OC” was the best season that it’s ever had.

It’s sad but, Meredith goes to hell (euuurh, i mean hospital-heaven) I think this is pretty shitty because, -altough she’s annoying- she’s part of the series, and I hate the li’l girl who doesn’t speak GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
