Isaiah Washington will not be returning to Grey’s Anatomy when the show returns for a fourth season in the fall.And it wasn’t only his explosion and anti-gay slurs on the set last fall or the bad publicity and internal strife that followed. A source at ABC says the decision not to renew his option was based on “a pattern of suspicious behaviour” that goes back to the set of the 1997 series, High Incident.

So we guess the homophobia rehab he was forced into and the public service announcement he taped for GLAAD wasn’t enough…
