Grey’s spin-off: What? No Isaiah-TR sitcom?

Grey's Anatomy

katewalsh.jpgABC and the folks behind Grey’s Anatomy want to make even more millions from their award-winning drama, so they’re spinning off one of the show’s characters into a second dramatic series.

No, not him. Not him either.

Heading out on her own would be that sexy neoatal surgeon, Dr. Addison Montgomery (formerly Dr. Addison Montgomery-Shepherd), who’s played by the saucy Kate Walsh (left). Hers was supposed to be a short-term role, but audience response convinced show creator Shonda Rimes to make Kate a regular.

A special, two-hour Grey’s episode will serve as the pilot for the series, and should bring in extra millions in ad revenues on its own.
Rimes will write the pilot. It’s likely to air in May.

(Fun fact: Kate Walsh’s first major TV role was on The Drew Carey Show. She played Drew’s girlfriend, and wore a “fat suit” for the role.)

Wow, that’s interesting. Addison is by far my favorite character on the show, so I don’t know if I’ll watch Grey’s anymore.

I’m happy for Kate Walsh. In interviews, she seems down to earth and friendly, unlike the Pomp.
