Monroe and his Christmas decorations were fantastic. I love how this show doesn’t take itself too seriously, and is still great.

I LOVE Monroe! And I love the bromance between Monroe & Nick. I loved the bit about Santa being a Gefrierengeber. According to Wikipedia it’s a combination of German words that mean “frozen” & “giver”. I love all the little things about Grimm,

Cattyfan, I was entranced by Monroe’s Christmas decorations; the lights, the trains, the little town covered with snow. He had homemade eggnog! He is quickly becoming my favorite character and I loved the kindness in his nature that was revealed this week; and that he even surprised himself with how much he wanted to help the girl.

Fan-Ann…I agree with you on all points. I think Monroe has separated himself from other people in an effort to control his instincts…and in doing so has cut himself off from the contact with others that he clearly needs. His friendship with Nick is giving him something he needs (in addition to helping Nick.)

    And his trains ROCKED!!!!

I couldn’t take my eyes off of wolf-girl’s amazingly thin eyebrows. How’d she manage to maintain that for all those years in the woods? A Christmas mystery!

@maryedith – I wondered the same thing, to the point that I missed several things about the exchange because I was staring at her perfectly manicured eyebrows!

She was stealing camping gear to survive…so perhaps she lifted a Swiss Army Knife. They have tiny tweezers built in.

    There. Mystery solved.
