Greetings, Gasmii! PopePhilly back in action after some minor surgery, more pain killers, stronger antibiotics, and lots of resting. Thanks for all your understanding with my last few recaps. I’m not back to 100% physically, but I’m making up for it in snark!

This episode was (thankfully) high on cooking and low on personal drama. It was quite refreshing! The first challenge involved our chefs cooking dishes for a group of chefs who have earned Michelin Stars. After the last set of guest judges were from the fashion industry (the opposite of the food industry), relevant judges are the greatest gift that Gordon Ramsay could have ever given us!

For dinner service that night, the teams each have a special guest they are cooking for. The blue team will be preparing dinner for UFC champion Tito Ortiz. The red team will be cooking for boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard! As usual, food is served raw, under cooked, and just all around terrible.

Aside from making fun of reality television on a weekly basis, PopePhilly is a legal assistant by day and avid kickball player by night (well, at least on Thursdays).     This is the biggest bunch of delusional chefs this show has ever had. And the award for most delusional this episode goes to Robyn, who actually thinks she’s lovable.

    One of the best parts of the episode? Tito (or the editors making it look like Tito) taking pictures on his phone of the complete and utter cluster this show has become. That made me laugh the hardest – good for him!

    oh robyn! she’s kind of unbelievable. even in a mass of pretty unbelievable people. i loved how she wanted everyone to go get her some meat from the boys side, after she’d ruined hers, and then gets mad when they don’t. she’s just so abrasive! i think christine is the only one i can stand on either team.

    Favorite moment was Robyn confessing about Sugar Ray and his wife: “They LOVE me!” Yeah, and when you win this thing you will be the most beloved head chef in the Ramsay empire. It’s gonna happen for ya, Robyn. I can feel it.
