Clipgasm: Faith Hill freaks out at the CMAs

Now this is how we like our awards shows– and this is really how we like our country music stars! Faith Hill thought she had “Female Vocalist of the Year” in the bag at the Country Music Association Awards last night. Then the prize went to American Idol‘s Carrie Underwood and… Yee-ha! It looks like she’s saying “WHAT??!!! but we’re sure there are some creative lip readers out there.

Looks like the Mississippi Girl’s wrapped tighter than her husband’s hair plugs. We can see a duet with Kanye West in her future…

This is so out of character for Faith.

I hoping she was making fun of Kayne West.

    HYSTERICAL!!!

    Puke – Carrie Underwood…gag!

    Actually I can’t stand any country music – so I guess I shouldn’t comment.

I want to see that in actual time. Maybe I can head to You Tube.

Too funny. Now she is saying that it was a joke. Doesn’t look like she was faking her displeasure at all…looks like she was quite peeved.

Man, I’m a Carrie fan and not really a Faith fan but still – there’s no way Carrie should have won that! What happened to paying your dues, man. I’d be pissed if I was Faith too!

And yes she came w/Federov. Rumor has been that they’re dating – it’s an old rumor. Maybe it’s true?

HAHAHAahaha, that is hilarious! And reminds me of Homecoming my Jr year of highschool. Sadly, I totally thought I had it in the bag, though I dont’ know why, I wasn’t the especially popular type but the other chick wasn’t either. When I didn’t win, I let out a loud groan/huh/what/disgust sound and a similar face, that my aunt caught on camera. Classic. My escort and I later found it hilarious

I personally like Carrie Underwood, but would’ve rather seen Martina McBride win. Either way, if you caught their live performances on the show, Faith Hill sounded like shit. Carrie wasn’t much better, but she was better nonetheless. Anyway, there are still the Grammys, which lately, I can’t say have much more credibility than these CMAs.

I mean c’mon we’re talking about people consider this the biggest night of the year, but who wear sonewash jeans with fringe trimmed jackets on a red carpet … right???

Yeah sure… just kidding my ass.
That was a pure shock/disgusted/anger moment. With the walk off and all.
    She was totally not joking.
And even if she was to those who think it… Why is that a good thing?
So instead of being classy and respectful and at least pretending to be happy for whoever won… she wants to joke around and steal the spotlight off of the winner?
Yeah…. way to give some respect!

    So…
Not joking- She’s an arrogant bitch
Joking- She’s a disrespectful bitch that needs the spotlight on her 24/7

That’s a very interesting clip. I don’t think she was joking, either, bc of the dark look on her face as she storms off.

BUT — the interesting thing is that when you watch this *edited* clip, and it cuts back to the close-up of Faith, she looks a bit pissed off, then you realise she’s just talking to someone backstage *before* the announcement, after which she smiles. Then comes the announcement.

So, I believe that colours our impression of what went down, a great deal. [film editing 101]

Having watched it twice, in my final assessment of the whole thing, I do basically agree with everything Shollia just wrote ^

Could ALL the clips be youtube-style? I can NEVER watch clips on tvgasm [I have windows XP] unless they are youtube-captured ones…

    WHY?!?!

The one thing that’s missing from Faith is a true apology. She danced around the apology part. Just like John Kerry.

I just “love” how people try to weasal their way out of these situations by later claiming “it was a joke” instead of apologizing (and I don’t mean a half-assed Kerry-type either).

I’d be pissed to if that American Idol Twat beat me out of an Award.

Carrie sucks. Faith rocks now, more than ever. I loved that she did this, and respect her more. She’s is standing up to the bullshit that is American Idol. I’m on team Faith!

dont know why i feel the need to respond but here i am anyways..

I have known Faith for over 13 years now and there is not a mean, disrespectful bone in that women’s body. arrogant and a *b*? ha! laughable! if u have ever seen an interview with her..what u see is what you get..she is as down to earth and likeable as she appears.

its a mountain out of a mole (Faith) hill. If u watch the entire thing..she is joking with someone off camera the entire time..should she have turned towards the camera and acted stupid like that? probably not..but she is prone to say and do things off the top of her head and end up embarassing herself in the end sometimes. She’s a selfproclaimed goof and this time it just came back to bite her in the azz.

The media is such a hype machine…you can get anyone to believe anything nowadays..this video proves nothing to anyone who really knows her. But in the end..people are gonna believe what they believe..all i can say is..all the negative descriptions i have read about her..couldnt be further from the truth. Thats my peace.

Now lets move along to more important things..like Britney and Kevin or something…*rme*

Actually, I was hoping this was the real deal and am disappointed she said it was a joke. I am sick of seeing the plastic big fake smiles on the (losing) nominee’s while they try to make us believe it was “an honor just to be nominated” and their fake clap-clap-clapping. You know they want to do just what was shown- “throw their hands up with a big WHAT??!!!”

Joke or no joke, it was poor judgement on her part. I believe that Faith is a kind person and that it was a joke, but she needed to apologize for her lack of judgement and for taking the spotlight away from Carrie. Instead, she said in a statement that she would never be disrespectful. Well, she showed that she was. Joke–disrespectful. No joke–still disrespectful. You can’t spin that. UgoGirl, tell Faith her publicist did a poor job on trying to spin this one.
