If you bought tickets for the upcoming Rock Star Supernova concert tour, we sincerely hope you weren’t hoping to see runners-up Storm Large, Magni or the show’s House Band, who were supposed to open for Tommy Lee’s semi-supergroup and that little Sal Mineo singer who won the contest.
Details after the jump…Crowd favorite and Icelandic baldie Magni posts the latest Supernova setback on his website:
Due to issues that have nothing to do with music and everything to do with money Supernovas managers have decided not to include the House-band in the upcoming tour – That of course means that I’m not going either. Instead – Juke Cartel – Toby´s band – will be opening the show…
How did that go down? Based on the music played on the awesome summer series, we’ll bet there were fears that the rockin’ all-purpose House Band would blow the Supernova fogies off the stage.
The news is not encouraging. Based on Toby’s frat boy karaoke appeal, his backing band should provide bar-band backing for Dilana and the remaining Supernova losers.
We’re also hearing that big, sexy, theatrical Storm Large and too expensive?) is also off the tour that kicks off with a much-heralded sold out New Year’s Eve show at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas (sorry guys, but William Hung could sell out the Hard Rock on New Year’s Eve). Then again, Storm’s been seen canoodling with Supernova host Dave Navarro, so she might be along for the ride, anyhow. And at least her sexy website, censored by CBS during the show;’s run, is back on line (and click here to a read a wild, sex-soaked pre-Supernova interview with the sultry six-footer, the least shocking part being the revelation that her real name is Susan– Storm’s her middle name).
