Newsgasm: Did Grey’s brawl K.O. catfight?

There are new repercussions from Isaiah Washington’s alleged violent, homophobic “master thespian” freakout over late-arriving actors on the Grey’s Anatomy set a couple of weeks back (exclusive video here). First, it apparently hastened co-star TR Knight’s coming out as a gay American (one of the scurvier gossip sites hid in the bushes over the weekend to catch him sitting on a bench in Santa Monica with a gay actor from Brothers & Sisters) Now, the scuffle has apparently cheated viewers out of an old-fashioned three-way hair-pulling catfight!

This time, with women! Our pals over at Planet Gossip say they’ve got it on good word that producers have scrapped a scene, written long before Washington grabbed Patrick Dempsey by the throat and called somebody a “bitch” and a “faggot,” that featured a tussle among Doctors Callie Torres, Meredith Grey and Izzie Stevens.

In the scene, Dr. Torres attacks Dr. Grey because she thinks the doc told Dr. O’Malley she slept with Dr. Sloan The comedic catfight has Dr. Stevens pulling on Dr. Torres’ hair to remove her from Dr. Grey. (You sort them out).

The unhappy writers had to change the scene to make it less physical, so viewers don’t get to thinking, and folks like us don’t get to keep reminding you, of the Washington-Dempsey tiff.

    Yay! First poster!

Screw you, Washington! That would have been a hilarious scene. Dr. Torres would’ve murdered Grey with one breast.

Last time I checked, his name was Patrick Dempsey, not McDermott.

And I feel a little sad that I only had to read that sentence about the fight once to get all the characters straight. I don’t take Izzie for a hair-puller though. I wonder how much of the scene they’ll keep.

I have to agree with the hating — these posts are not interesting to me. I don’t come to tvgasm for gossip. This is not the intelligent well-referenced writing that I enjoy.

okay so while these tabloid posts are mildly amusing, aren’t we a little behind on a recap from last week…

btw. I agree with Lisa. Izzie Stevens definitely does not seem like a hairpuller.

O this is TOTALLY why I come to TVgasm, for the gossip, the inside scoop, the cannon, the fodder, the details and the ooey gooey details. I appreciate the balance of recaps and gossip and please keep it coming.

Does anyone else find it annoying that the only thing we’ve gotten to read about Grey’s Anatomy in several weeks has been ridiculous gossip about fights on the set and what caused them? Am I the only one who has no interest in any of this whatsoever? Honestly, the fights were weeks ago–get over it already. I don’t know about the rest of you, but in my opinion, what these actors do in their spare time is their business, not ours. I only am interested in what they do between the hours of 9-10 on Thursday nights. I would really enjoy reading some more about that.

I think the next big story is that apparently there is a shadowy group around the country forcing TVGasm readers, at gunpoint, to read Tabloid Baby’s posts, even if they’re not interested in them. Their only recourse is to complain about them after the fact. Folks, if it doesn’t tickle your fancy, you don’t have to read it.

Yes, hysterical. I actually haven’t read any of them, due to lack of interest. I have, however, seen the headlines every time I come on this sit to look for an article about something that is actually interesting.
