  • Erstwhile singer Boy George, now going by the name “Obese Pederast George,” called police to his Manhattan apartment Friday to report that his home had been burglarized. But 1) the apartment had not been robbed, and 2) Man George was promptly arrested for having a bag of nose candy lying in plain sight.   • Madonna “Esther” Ciccone has royally pissed off the chosen people with all her “knowledge” of the Kaballah. The controversy is swirling around that scene in her new video where Jackie Mason and Fran Drescher tie her up in the bondage parlor with red string. [AP]
  • Gawker reported that an online betting site cancelled all wagers on the Jessica Simpson & Nick Lachey will-they-or-won’t-they question because of a near-unanimous flood of “divorce” bets placed from the couple’s respective hometowns. Don’t you love pleasant surprises on a Monday? [Gawker]

    I saw her singing on SNL and I’m sorry, she was still lip synching. And she looked horrible. Why does Lorne Michaels allow these no talent losers on? He should pick cutting edge avant garde bands.

    Oh, adn the show still sucks ass.

    Could the increase in ratings for Martha have to do with Lost being pre-empted in Boston & Chicago for the Sox vs the Sox series? I am a loyal Lost fan but found myself flipping over to Martha so I didn’t have to watch the Red Sox get killed!

    The reason Martha’s ratings went up last week is because now the show does not conflict with America’s Next Top Model so it doesn’t compete for the gay demographic.

    Could you explain why you called Boy George a pederast? Obviously Boy George is gay but you used a word that labels him as a child molester. Not to be a stick in the mud (I laughed heartily at the O’Donnell jab) but that’s a pretty serious word that shouldn’t be tossed around lightly.

    well i’ve see george o’dowd fondle many boys on tuesday nights at bowery bar…and you KNOW some of those boys arent quite 18, so i believe m_ruv was correct in his usage of pederast.
