  • George Michael was found slumped in his car near Hyde Park, London, this weekend and has apparently been arrested on a drug charge. Given Mr. Michael’s penchant for fabulousness I CANNOT WAIT to see the mugshot. [BBC]
  • Tracy Morgan pleaded no contest to a DUI charge in an L.A. court. I’d go for the obvious Uncle Jemima’s Mash Liquor joke but the E! bastards already stole it. [E! online]
  • Sheryl Crow had successful breast cancer surgery last week and will undergo precautionary radiation this week. Sheryl honey, I know you want to get back with Lance, but AN EMPATHETIC BOUT WITH CANCER JUST TO WIN HIS AFFECTION seems like a bit much. [E! online]
  • And the entertainment world lost two celebrities this weekend—Darren McGavin, of Mike Hammer and A Christmas Story, and Don Knotts, of virtually everything requiring goofy googly-eyed munchkins. [AP, AP]

    Darren McGavin was also “Kolchak: The Night Stalker” wasn’t he? I loved that show as a wee one.

    EdHill, you don’t remember “The Apple Dumpling Gang Rides Again”? More Tim Conway and Don Knotts tomfoolery than you can shake a stick at. Maybe you were hoping for “The Apple Dumpling Gang Rides Again, Again.”

    Oh dear, I just read the candidate list for Apprentice 5. This and Trump’s 2 trumplings(btw I’m going to trademark that, tvgasm has an exclusive license to use that). Tonight is going to be a slaughter. I can’t wait to see the Russian and Briton duke it out.

    DH and I have stuff to do so gotta tivo 24 too.

    Set Apprentice for CNBC’s airing. Saw The Donald on the Today Show this morning. Katie really gave him a reaming over his letter but she is just so darned nice it wasn’t enough of one. Seems like his kids are coming in on the action for this season filling in for George and Caroline.
