  • After being found guilty of tax evasion earlier this year, Survivor winner Richard Hatch has been sent to an Oklahoma jail. His lawyer says “It’s bad for Richard, who is an outdoor person.” Threat of constant butt-rape? Not so bad. But the indoor confines? HORRENDOUS! [AP]
  • Tina Fey and Rachel Dratch will be leaving Saturday Night Live to focus on their new sitcom, 30 Rock. This means SNL will be in the capable hands of such vets as Horatio Sanz and Seth Myers. In other news, SNL has now become the worst show EVER.
  • The Television Critics Awards honor Grey’s Anatomy (program of the year), Lost (best achievement in drama), The Office (best achievement in comedy), and My Name is Earl (best new program), among others. Strangely enough, Hope & Faith edges out Flavor of Love in the Best Achievement in Skanky Ho’s category. [AP]
  • At a recent Madonna concert, a pack of rabid fans rushed to the front row, effectively blocking the view of a wheelchair-bound man. Luckily, Leonardo DiCaprio swooped in and asked the handicapped concert-goer, “Why don’t you come sit with me, and I’ll just move over?” Yes, a celebrity shows basic common courtesy, and it qualifies as news. [New York Post]
  • And in case you didn’t hear, Rob and Amber have a new reality show that will air on the Fox Reality network. The series will follow Rob’s attempts to become a professional poker player while Amber “does her best to be supportive in the risky venture.” The show is tentatively titled, Ambah, Pokah, and Othah Wicked Awesome Things. I’m pretty sure SNL has been the worst show ever for about the last five years. Why won’t they at least shorten it to an hour? They never have the material for an hour and a half anyways, even with a decent host…

“Has become”? I thought that show had been cancelled years ago!

I was under the impression SNL is an hour long, but is padded with commercials to be 90 minutes. This allows for easy syndication packages, and adequate commercial breaks for set & costume changes.

Even though they prep SNL for a week, it always surprises me how many of the sketches are clearly being sight-read (and are therefore un- or under-rehearsed).

Would someone PLEEEEEASE tell Rob and Amber that their 15 minutes of fame was up like five years ago?!

Why don’t they just go home and get REAL jobs?

    My prediction for SNL:

It now will just be 90 minutes of stupid internet-derived videos.

    A rap about cocoa puffs

A rip-off of a comedy troupe’s man on the street interviews

    and more.

In the article Fox Reality general manager David Lyle said “We’ve grown up with Rob and Amber.”. Amber was first on Survivor Australia that aired in 2001, Rob first on Survivor Marquesas that aired in 2002. So how old is this guy Lyle – 5, maybe 6? No wonder Fox sucks so often if they hire children for general managers.

Okay- so who is recapping this season of FLAVOR OF LOVE? Ya’ll seriously missed out on a great opportunity last time—and I’m refusing to read recaps of shows based on people’s so-called ‘talents’ —please please recap the flava

    Such challenging life choices!

I smell another book from Amber.

I watched the last season of SNL in a video editor looking for anything decent to clip out. Needless to say nothing was worth clipping and that 20x speed came in veeeeeerry useful. Wait actually the toonshow was about the only one that was of any value, the rest of the season was a waste. Dane Cook? wtf next thing funny from him will be the first.

Rob & Amber r turning into a Danny & Melinda. Just go away! No one wants to hear you and your Bostonian accents!! Haha I actually liked the show Flavor of Love. Where else do you see a bunch of ghetto gold diggers try and gain the effection of a troll-like washed up rapper??

Actually, “Ambah’s” accent is Western PA. She’s from right outside Pittsburgh.
