They’re beaming off over Star Trek at TV Land, as the nostalgia channel gets ready to add the classic sci fi series to its schedule of oldies.

Through next Tuesday, the network is offering five full episodes online for free.
And they’re already taking questions in advance for a live Internet video chat with three of the show’s elderly survivors on Sunday, November 19th.Nichelle Nichols, Walter Koenig and Howard Stern fave George Takei will interact on the TV Land website beginning at 9 p.m. Eastern time (for our fans in the comment section, that means 6 pm Pacific and 8 pm Central time), after the East Coast presentation of the classic Star Trek episode, “The Trouble with Tribbles.”

The Star Trek series lands on the TV Land schedule on November 20th. But the real fun should be the week after next. Beginning November 13th, they’re running a week of space-themed episodes of other classic shows, featuring guest spots from Star Trek cast members. Looking farther into the future, Lost‘s J.J. Abrams says he’s still waiting on a script for the Star Trek XI movie.

    Thanks for the programming reminders.

I would not have known that I can download Trek shows today, nor what’s ahead in November.
