pilot.jpgNot sure how long this post will be relevant as cease and desist orders are sure to be sent shortly…that is unless of course these were in fact leaked by the network or production companies to create viral buzz….but who would do that? For those of you interested in checking out some of the future fall line up before committing TiVO time to a show, two pilots have made their way onto this interweb.

One for STUDIO 60 (NBC) the show that’s not Saturday Night Live, but is about a show like Saturday Night Live that isn’t at all Saturday Night Live not to be confused with Saturday Night Live alum, Tina Feys, show 30 ROCK, that is not Saturday Night Live still, but rather a series about a Saturday Night Live type of show called “Friday Night Bits”….man I’m exhausted…I watched 20 minutes of the pilot and got really bored.

The other pilot is for OUR 30s (ABC) a sitcom like FRIENDS but with good writers. It’s not brilliant, but for a sitcom…it ain’t bad.

All the segments are available after the jump….

Interesting. Sort of. I think the not Saturday Night Live thing is trying too hard but it is only the pilot. If we judged all shows by their pilot, none of them would have a second episode.

    Studio 60
I was not impressed with this pilot at all. This show reminded me of the West Wing, probably because the same guy created it. It’s all drama and very little comedy. The show takes itself too seriously and I think it will just turn viewers off. This was okay for the West Wing, a show about the white house. But I just don’t buy it as a behind the scenes look at a TV sketch show. Maybe if it can add a lot more comedy in the episodes that follow I will tune in, but I highly doubt that I will tune in again and that it will add more comedy. Also I don’t buy Amanda Peet as the president of the network. She seems way too young for the job.

    Our 30′s
This is a vast improvement over every other ABC sitcom on the air right now. They are all horrible, but Our 30′s still isn’t that great. I watched it yesterday and there are only a few things I can remember. They need to get rid of the British guy. He’s supposed to be a “playboy” but he’s not cute whatsoever. I’m not sure if he’s supposed to be a guy who thinks he’s a playboy or an actual playboy, but either way they can find someone who looks better. The rocker chick with the kid looked nothing like a rocker. And people with little babies do not look that put together. Also what was up with always wearing a necklace it was totally distracting. The main couple who were still dating were boring, the girl who is engaged to the gay guy is a cool idea but the character was annoying and finally the couple going through the perfect divorce, that was jut silly (not in a good way). The show has some good concepts, but I won’t be tuning into this show either.

I completely disagree, I think the Studio 60 pilot was great, but I loved West Wing and it is definitely a show for a specific kind of audience. It did make me laugh out loud several times. Cannot wait for it to start!

Our 30′s was awful, stiff acting, horrible plot, didn’t even make me smile. Would definitely not tune in, even if it was on in the summer.

I loved Studio 60. The cast is outstanding and it made me laugh out loud. It’s intelligent comedy – I’m so sick of writers depending on the laugh track to punctuate their jokes (like Our 30′s, which is detestable). I’ll be setting my Tivo to Studio 60 this fall.
