Ink Master Finale Minicap

You know…Ugh. I really didn’t care for the final three and I think you may have heard my screams when Kat was eliminated. The last challenge was for the artists to tattoo a couple of NFL/Bellator guys with the twist being the artists were selected by the canvas. In the end, Sebastian, Sarah and Steve were sent to the live finale where they were given 6 4 hour sessions to create whatever they wanted on a human canvas. The live finale was a nice little surprise in that I actually kind of enjoyed it and again you probably heard me when they announced that we have the opportunity to vote one of the contestants into season 3 to compete again. I couldn’t decide so I voted for Kat and Clint. Either way, depending on the outcome I guess I’ll stick around for another season even though this one was highly disappointing. Even everyone in the live audience didn’t think these three would be in the finale. Go ahead and sound off on your finale thoughts, I’ll have a full recap up late this week.

Catch up on last week’s episode here!

PS WTF was Sebastian’s canvas thinking…I would have been like *ring ring* uh yeah I can’t get that on my back *click* and why did it take me so long to realize that Sebastian doesn’t have sideburns…those are tattoos.

I agree that this final three was nowhere near as talented as Season 1. I wonder how many of these “canvases” will end up on Tommy’s show. We already had the one guy on “live” tv say he wasn’t happy and I can only imagine after hearing their free tattoo’s critiqued, more canvases will want to get them covered up/fixed.

My wife and I both wondered how Sebastian could put that tattoo on a woman who didn’t express any interest in the subject matter. We were waiting for her to bail on him too expecting the typical reality show drama.

I also have to add, Sara looked really good. Don’t know if she lost weight or it was her working with a stylist, but she looked damn good.

Sarah looks like a football player to me. I think it’s the way she stands. Too bad TatuBaby didn’t make it to final 3.

WTF indeed. I could get on board with Sarah and Steve: obnoxious as they are, they’ve done some amazing work. But Sebastian? REALLY?! The guy never won a challenge, he’s smug and combative and he flat-out admitted that he’d turn up the machine to hurt clients who annoyed him. And he’s in the final three instead of Kat? I turned off the TV in disgust.

Steve did a great job. Way to represent Groton, CT !!
Also — I doublt they’ll do a live finale again. It was pretty awkward and Nazzaro’s delivery was totally wooden.

Missed this, as I had to rush my dog to the emergency room (bad reaction to her vaccines. She’ll be fine.)

I look forward to the full recap.

@timgunnssister, I too noticed that Sara stands like a man. I think she is young and trying to convey a tough attitude. It was obvious during the show she was intimidated by Kat’s looks and talent. Sara seemed more insecure when Kat would be praised over her. It made good douchechills tv though ;-)

Ugh, as much as I liked the idea of the live show…it sucked! Everyone was reading a script, the music was too loud, and the way they showed the tatts was awful (moving camera, shown for like five seconds) horrible.
    Sara looked amaaaaaazeballs.

Not to mention my freakin DVR cut out before the winner because the live show went over….ugh. But I did find out who won.

Steve’s tatt was amazing, and I liked Sara’s alot. I feel bad the lady who will be stuck with Sebastian’s for the rest of her life…….wow.

That was the most busted up, cheap, thrown together finale ever. The camera crew was awful. Their like “and here’s X people in the audience who hate their tattoo” cue shot of entire audience…and PA running to hide.

Production must have not given two sh!ts because they didn’t even give the contestents a place to sit…just stand there and speak when spoken to.

I now am left wondering how much editing went on in the production of this show because nobody could seem to string a sentance together, let alone read a teleprompter (ahem Navarro).

    Glad everything is ok cattyfan!

Seriously though there is no reason why Kat won’t win next season. She knows exactly what to expect each challenge and what the judges want. It is her competition to lose.
