And you thought our own Sutter Cane was bummed out yesterday? His movie director heroes are dropping like flies this week, and it’s only Tuesday morning. First, Sweden’s Ingmar Bergman pops his clogs; now we get word that Italy’s Michelangelo Antonioni went toes up last night.

And you know they do die in threes.

Who will be next?Who do you think will be the next great director to pass into history?

We do hope Clint Eastwood’s feeling perky.
