Jessica Smith, a former star of Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County on MTV, is being held on suspicion of felony driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs after a crash on the San Diego Freeway.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the 19-year-old crashed a 1999 Volkswagen Beetle into the back of a 2003 Acura MDX last night. The CHP report said unsafe speeds and wet roadways– and her level of intoxication led to the crash.
The driver of the Acura sustained minor injuries. So did Jessica’s passenger, 20-year-old Lindsay Cooper.
Jessica is reportedly being held on $100,000 bond in a real Orange County Jail and set to be in court tomorrow.
Jessica’s ex-boyfriend and fellow Laguna star Jason Wahler has also been arrested more thasn once on alcohol-related charges.
Jessica was one of two cast members on the reality series to be featured in all three seasons of Laguna Beach. According to her travel blog, as of last year she was attending Saddleback College in Mission Viejo.

Wow, I have been checking back every 10 minutes looking for the Hills recap, and I find this… uh, gem. Wow.
How funny that they remind us that J-wahl was also jailed.
But the real question is… who was the other of the “two cast members on the reality series to be featured in all three seasons of Laguna Beach”? I can’t figure it out…
