Like OMG! We Have A Winner!

Last month, we asked TVgasm readers to submit reenactments of their favorite Laguna Beach scenes in order to win DVDs of season one and season two of the seminal MTV show. Well, between the holidays and the New Year and all the other activity going on in the site, it seems like this bad boy got lost in the shuffle. We received some solid submissions, and I’m proud to present the first two winners of the contest after the jump.

However, MTV furnished us with several DVDs, and while we may be posting winners of the contest, there’s still room for more. If you want to win seasons one and two of Laguna Beach, submit your very own reenactment to bside@tvgasm.com with the words “Laguna Submission” in the subject header. Feel free to troll our Laguna Beach archives for inspiration…

Coming in as the runner’s up is this entry by Courtney. Even though it’s not a photo reenactment, it still deserves accolades for somehow capturing via stick figure a certain je ne sais quoi about our favorite cast members. It would have been nice to see Casey and Dieter in the mix too, but hey, that okay.

Hands down, Vividblurry takes first place for this exceptional recreation of a seminal moment in season three of Laguna. I’ll let them describe it:

Our entry is titled "One 'Hoppy' Family" - an image of the Donatellis picking out a DVD with Tessa "Wet Rag" Keller. Movie night with Rocky's parents is, like, OMG, totally random and fun!

Note the attention to detail — Cinderella Man, Gorillas in the Mist, Melinda and Melinda, a poster for Open Air Stereo, a copy of Teen Vogue. Mr. Donatelli’s even wearing a Harley Davidson shirt. Excellent effort all around.

    So I just realized I got the runner up position. Thanks, B-side! I didn’t expect it, but I did slave over that stick figure drawing for days and days. :) Do I actually win a Laguna season on DVD??
