Life After Top Chef Recap: Blais of Glory

Back to the farm – Spike is so impressed with the farm(s)? that he vows to use their products at his new Crystal City restaurant. Yay. The happy couple celebrates by chasing chickens. Spike compares the exercise to being “turkey bitch slapped”. Spike sure does luv to be bitch-slapped.

 and they’re CHICKENS, not turkeys.

NYC is so much more interesting. Back to the man-date! Fabio and Rich meet Carla (currently on The Chew), and Angelo Sosa (season 8) at Dale Talde’s restaurant for some fine cookin’.

Yum.

Rich is excited to “get the gang back together”, as they all competed on Top Chef All-Stars. Now I expected a little pomposity from Richard because he won, but he thinks of all the Top Chefs as a fraternity. He is concerned that his career is far behind his table mates. Fabio consoles him. Don’t do everybody else, Reeshard. Do you. I want to pinch Fabio’s cheeks. Spike and Jen are kind of the guests of honor at a pot luck dinner with local farmers. I’m a little horrified seeing one of those cute little sheep from earlier being roasted on a spit. This is why I don’t eat lamb. Jen is drinking and she is flirty. Spike is happy he could lift Jen out of her doldrums. What would we do without him?? Next on LATC – Spike experiences déjà vu as his menu does not impress his investors. Spike’s Crystal City eatery hits some snags. Fabio is Fabio, and Jen still has no money. Will Mike Isabella be in another episode?? See you next time, Gaasmii!!!!

In the immortal words of No Doubt: I'm just a girl. I'm just a girl in the world. Hopefully. There's nothing I like better than mixing a fine cosmo, putting my feet up and laughing my ass off reading a Tvgasm recap. The reality is that the cosmo is actually a grape Kool Aid - but the rest of it is true!!

Jen should consider changing the name of her future restaurant from Concrete Blonde to Never Going To Open.
