I Once Was Lost, But Now I’m Found

Lost

Was blind, but now I see….that the abc show LOST is not quite the loser I may have pegged it as last week. But as to avoid blame and fault, I am placing the blame on ABC for airing its 2 hour pilot in two separate nights.

***I will try to avoid spoilers and be as general as I can since the full pilot will be shown in its entirety This Saturday at 8pm on the ABC network, Which I can now recommend you all take a look at***

As I mentioned last week the first episode was poorly written, horridly directed and awkwardly miscast with Adonis-like castaways….and a fat guy. I stand by this summation of hour 1.

Hour 2 however was far more enjoyable. It felt less rushed and languished in character development, avoided needless cliché sci-fi moments and finally started to create story and depth.

Last night episode ignored that annoying giant evil thing in the jungle that clogged the tunnel of character development last week and focused more on relationships, plot-line and independent character motivation. Granted, at times, I felt it was trying to be more than it was. Yet the second hour truly did more than make up for the first craptacular hour of what felt like masterbatorial television. That is to say, the writers and directors just did what they thought felt and looked good as if the audience was never considered.

In any event, my face is red for my jumping to conclusions last week, and I concede this is a good show and well worth watching. Check your local listings and times for the 2 hour repeat this weekend.

**Once people have had a chance to get caught up, TvGasm will post its point by point take on the pilot, but to avoid spoilers, chose not to do it in today’s review.**

That’s funny you say that, cause I thought the 1st hr was better. I might go on watching, but talk about corny. The dialouge & plot is beyond silly. i.e.
“If you hear anything or see anything………………………………………………….run.”
    Well duh.

And I loved how people kept looking around, like they were waiting for something or watching for some boogeyman or something.

And a polar bear? How did they know that in 2 seconds flat. Let’s face it, it was silly. But yet entertaining…..I’ll bite.
