All Hail Queen Lauren

Hey Gasmii! Make It or Break It is back for what is probably it’s last season and I’m pretty excited about it. I didn’t even think it would get another season but I guess the heads of ABC Family couldn’t pass up more teenage drama. The show follows a group of gals in their quest for Olympic gold and as with any teenager centered show there’s an overachieving prude, a slutty HBIC manipulator and the good girl gone corrupt. The girls are finally headed to the Olympics but first they are relocated to a new training center where they will compete to see who will actually be going for the gold. I’ll be recapping the show but I’ll be sure to catch up those of you who have never watched it before. Trust me when I say that this is a great guilty little pleasure and I hope you’ll join me for the next 8 episodes. This first episode introduces a lot of new characters and shows the girls struggling to compete against the younger girls coming up the ranks and adjust to life at the new training center. Sadly, or not, there is no mention of Chloe and what happened to her.

    I have tried to watch this…the only reason was because the guy that plays Daniel Grayson on revenge is in this show…this one for me kind of rates up there with secret life in the acting department…then agan, I am a fan of PPL…

    Ooh, ooh, ohh! I am very thrilled to see this recapped. My cousin went to college on a Gymnastics scholarship so I’ve always loved watching competitions. When this show came on I twitched from the gymnastics but was hooked on the teenage melodrama!

    I just started watching Revenge and after imdb-ing the actors, it was amazing to see that actor play a teenager on this show but a mid-twenties on Revenge. Have you seen him speak when he is not using his fake american accent?

    I hope this is the last season of this show, it will have run it’s course. Are they going to do that thing where they only show half the season then wait months and months before showing the second half of the season?

    I’m confused, SG. Is this reality or actors? Following the real gymnasts would be so interesting. I haven’t watched it before, but your minicap makes me want to see it.

    It’s all acting and the show is seriously really interesting once you get sucked into all the drama. Watch the first two seasons though I will say Season 2 was pretty crappy and I was certain they would not get another season but here we are with 8 episodes.

    Carol, I do not believe they will get anymore if these 8 episodes don’t perform well because right now they are only guaranteeing 8 though the previous seasons had 20 and were split between A and B.

    So, what do we think is wrong with Lauren? The show has already done pregnancy (Chloe) and anorexia (Kaylee), so I vote leukemia. And I’ll predict that she makes it to the Olympic team, but is too sick to compete, and someone from the show – Summer? – saves her life with a bone marrow donation. Meanwhile, Kaylee and Payson medal.

    I hope we see Emily again. But I bet we won’t. In this episode, they’ve erased her. :(

    Love this show. Started watching it on Netflix and I am stoked for a new season!
