MiniCap: Being Human

So I finally took the time out to record a Being Human macro. Wanna see it? Control+M = Everyone’s miserable! This will save me so many keystrokes over these last few episodes.

As for this episode, Aidan’s voicing over about holding on to hope even in the darkest hours but…Everyone’s miserable! Sally’s poltergeisting the house and its 458 lamps because the Reaper (Who, by the way, is Balkan-born so I totally called it, even though “vaguely-European” generally means “White” I meant it as “Southern/Eastern European” i.e. tall, dark, skinny and bad posture.) told her to get her affairs in order then left her hanging, Josh hasn’t left his bedroom in a week because of the whole Nora fiasco, and because he’s Josh, and Aidan still has those pesky orphans, Suren, and Henry to deal with.

And that hopeful thing doesn’t get any easier when the Reaper comes back with an offer Sally seriously wants to refuse, tries to refuse then regrets it five minutes later, Emily makes her return to screw up Josh’s life by putting him back into Julia’s orbit all under the aegis of helping while Aidan adds “Mother” to his list of shit that’s eventually going to roll downhill on him. Everyone’s miserable!

It doesn’t get better in the middle part of the episode as the Reaper wants Sally to reap with him leading her to a choice between two really bad options, Josh drinks with Emily and Julia, which is never a good thing and Aidan, even if he does get his ambiguously gay on with Henry, is still dealing with way too many crazies to count. Especially Suren, because 80 years living underground not only makes a girl hungry and crazy, it makes her evil. Everyone’s miserable!

But in the end, everyone finds some kind of resolution…even if Josh is the only one who finds a certain peace with his situation. And the Reaper because, well, he’s a Reaper. When your job for all eternity is supernatural assassin, and you’re good at it, you’re not really torturing yourself to begin with.

And I just realized that I’m recapping two shows that feature assassins in black suits.  Has that become a thing, or am I just special?
